Raiding nearby goblin settlements
« on: February 22, 2018, 01:53:24 pm »

I have raided a nearby goblin settlement and nothing happened. They "didn't find anything".

To be honest I thought I would just go and eradicate the pests all around me, but I cant seem to find a way to attack them with intent to kill, and not steal.

Does anyone know if this option is planned for the future?

Check out the latest devlog. It's very much in the works.

Also, if you ever figure out why poets/bards/dancers just randomly start butchering people/getting butchered, please don't fix it, I love never knowing when a dance party will turn into a slaughter.

Yeah, it should be in the next release (0.44.06), which should be very soon since we're still in minor release mode.

I have tears in my eyes guys, thank you, wonderful news!! I have over 100 legendary dwarves in masterful steel gear and 50 more in training. FPS is low but hopes are high that my goblin infested world will get its due treatment soon!

I have 100 mostly legendary Dwarves in masterful adamantine complete uniform, but my issue is to the contrary.

There is only 1 Goblin site in my tiny world. Furthermore because it was sending waves after waves of sieges to my embark, it has now only 100 Goblins left. I rather would like to have an option of releasing caged captives (after I collected goblinite from them of course) else there won't be any wars or sieges or battles on my tiny world. Things really look dire.

Also I would need some alike mechanics with Mega Monsters and Forgotten Beasts. Killing them all off, should not be the only option in DF. Particularly, that you can't breed majority of those.

Attack the humans. Or the elves. Elves preferably.

Attack the humans. Or the elves. Elves preferably.
Or even other dwarf civs. That can be Fun. Especially if you don't have access to steel equipment yet...

Strange that goblins struggle that much in your world, I would generate a new one if I were you.  Were they numerous (15k+) before they started killing themselves on your defenses?

You could try retiring and modding gobboes to breed like mad. Then run a minimalistic, contained, 19 dwarf fort on max fps for a few years.
