I nominate an image of a bronze colossus being decapitated by a thrown fluffy wambler as the kingdom mascot.
I think a mascot should be a single creature and not an image but I'll vote for fluffy wambler, yes.

Be sure to update the ballot with your vote, or it may not be counted.

What should be the Marga mascot?
dolphin / 1 / roseheart
dragon / 1 / glass
bronze collosus ft. fluffy wambler / 1 / bloop_bleep
fluffy wambler / 1 / Maximum Spin

In favor of the dolphin, it may play off the bay in bay 12(also if we have a bay biome).

(Wambler is a bunny?)

I switch my vote to simply a fluffy wambler.

Also, Spin, shouldn't those elephants actually be fluffy wamblers (or whatever our mascot turns out to be?)

EDIT: A "fluffy wambler" is a vermin creature from Dwarf Fortress, which doesn't exist in real life. It's essentially what amounts to a sentient cottonball. It's also part of several Bay 12 memes, including the bronze-colossus-decapitating one I mentioned.

Yes, they really *ought* to be, but you try finding a heraldic image of a fluffy wambler. :P

I would like to found the Marga Historian's guild. The Historian's guild is purely for people who like worldbuilding and lore making, and is responsible for making quality maps for the region, designing dungeons if adventuring becomes a thing in the future, and, most importantly, establish and write about the Lore of Marga and it's surrounding area. Anyone who has ideas about the lore, or should find ruins in the wilderness, or archeological remains while ploughing fields may show them here and present their own ideas.
This is just an idea, but I think it could be an interesting idea.

Hmn. That sounds like it would be a sub-group of the Ranger's Guild; they're the ones who decide on what the nearby terrain is, and if there's any special locations.

Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

We don't decide the terrain, we document it from the ranger's guild.

Seth's Wizard Guild

Main Guild Responsibilities
-Weather, Prophecies, Chaos, and Balance
-Spells and requirements
-Historical records and Advising difficulty adjustments

Actually it may overlap the Wizard's Guild duty. There are a few options, Sir Edward.

A. Ask permission of the Archmage to consider the overlap and give their approval(possibly removing a duty from them and allowing them to be more specialized)

B. Ask the Archmage to create a position for you at their guild to do this.

I may also be able to negotiate you a new Ranger position to do this. How the maps look is at least by default the Ranger guild's duty.

I can see maybe how some guilds could be split into smaller ones, but do they need to be yet?

I would be happy to call you a cartographer and you can take on assistants. That could evolve into a new guild perhaps. If needed, you could have your own 'cartography devision' thread, if it doesn't stand on its own legs I'd reabsorb it the the main guild.

I want you to feel empowered, but there are some conflicts or appear to be, with your initial proposal, and the preexisting institutions. I think I can give you everything you want, but on paper it may look a little different, but not in practice.

Hmmm...
I just enjoy making maps and lore, and I would like to find a way of allowing myself and others to do just that, although I do know that the rangers did geography and such.
I think that I might ask the Mage's guild if that was possible.

How about I let you make it and see where it goes. The Ranger and Wizard guildmaster will evaluate it at a later date. And there may be some political decisions to be made at that time.

Acting as steward monarch, responsible for guild duties I grant you Sir Edward, the right to form the Historian Guild, provisionally.
