I would like to see each guild adopt a crest.

Edit: I found this site. It is humble and if you want to use something else that's OK. This WILL NOT be final but get something as a placeholder.

Couple changes to some jobs:

You can now perform multiple guild jobs a day.

You still can only perform one action a day, such as mining or odd jobs.

Wizards: Weather is now to be a service to be changed upon request after the first one of the day. Starting at 2 gold.
If the first "free" weather is not performed this service cannot be provided.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Merchants/Guards:

“year + monarch”

ex 4 Mary
This is the traditional calendar for mideival purposes. Since our lower timescale make years unpractical, it will measure game days a player has been ruler in Marga.

As weather may change multiple times during a single phase, this will not be attached to the guard and merchant phase post.

Merchants:

When a guild job is performed, any fees mentioned are to be given to the guild.

Edit: And something for Rangers:

Mining is to not take place at night.

I would like to propose a standard format for Guild threads like the one used in the Rangers Guild.

That standard would require:
  • Nav bar (featured on all my threads at top)
  • Guild name
  • Guild emblem
  • Member list
  • Actions
  • Guild Jobs
  • Manual to the basics of membership
  • Ballot summary area

How this is expressed is up to the guildmaster(though I would say the nav bar be standard for unity)

Would anyone oppose or wish the discuss this first?

I think the NAV in the Guild should only be to the main OOC and last thread.

In response to some feedback from various persons I have done the following:

Guards will now be in charge of money, posting the day and night phase.

Merchants will now be called Inventors.

(Also I will go back to calling Wizards - Mages)

I think this rebalance and rebranding will help make each guild a stronger piece of the whole, and make people happy.

Adding Arms Race elements to this is a tricky proposition which has already been discussed at length. In summary, Arms Race is about escalation and conclusion, and 3K is about a perpetual mideival kingdom.

However perhaps one compromise that wouldnt be too hard is a "reverse" Arms Race where we don't change, but perhaps an enemy does. Be they goblins, space bugs, whatever until we eradicate their stronghold.

Anyway I know idle talk is soon forgotten, and who knows what can happen. I ask future elected officials not only consider the design challenge, but the consequences on things like our ability to trade compatible items with other kingdoms, player housing(if Marga was destroyed), ect. This isn't exactly animal crossing but it isn't only about combat, either.

I updated the Nav bar in the version history post. And I'll repost it after an election changes guildmasters/threadlinks.

The new Inventor's Guild thread is up. Let me know if there are any changes that need to be made to it.
