Baba’s Respite

The four intrepid adventurers stand in a Respite, one of the few places within the Dungeon that seem to show up more often than other levels. Enterprising merchants often set up shop here, hoping to find business to the foolhardy that venture within the Fractals, and to buy loot.

This particular Respite takes the form of a mass of roots and leaves, floating through the Void. Coin-Witches have settled the floating forest as their place of business, hawking adventuring gear and other wares at affordable-yet-expensive prices.

Many other adventurers group up before stepping up to the Gate, leaving to the rest of the Dungeon.

You pay the merchants some fossilized beetles and they give you a sledge hammer. For sledging. Now you can hit people at range provided you don't lose balance and fall over like an idiot.

Well you see, oh great overlord, part of the beauty of the humble Fleshhorror is that there is no over to fall! Take for instance that instance of Mister Thing that found itself pretending to be a dead dude's head, having been disattached from the body in a burning room. It landed upside down on the floor, which for most other organisms would be a large inconvenience, but for Mister Thing, he just grows some legs from the top of the head, no big prob.

Go find something in the dungeon to consume for those delicious amino acids and spinal fluids.

Uh, I think I messed up with momentum at the start. We all should discuss how pacing and player-autoing should be handled.

Cut out anyone not here now and replace with new players. Then update maybe once every two weeks at least? I haven't really been able to keep up a consistent schedule myself.

This really isn't supposed to have big updates, and my planned frequency was to be daily (give or take for player availability) unless there's a good reason for players to take time to think through their actions.

I think the current problem is that I overestimated my ability to improvise again, so I'll probably have to reboot the system on a more feasible premise.
