Unusual demands

My Mayor wants an aluminum bed in his throne room/office.  What have yours come up with?

Do you happen to have an artefact aluminum bed that your mayor coveys?  Otherwise that is worthy of a bug report, asking for items that can only be made by moods.

It's already reported (8 years ago).
Not all that urgent though, as it's not a mandate, so no-one's going to get hammered for failing to make it. It's just a case of a crazy guy muttering "I want an aluminum bed. Now I'm sad because I don't have one". Just ignore him.

Heh, I never thought of it as a bug, even, just as a very hard, but not impossible demand.

Here's what I would suggest:

Build a 1X1 chamber with no floor and a retractable bridge.  Be sure the bridge is magma safe.

Build a lever, directly beneath the bridge, and link it to the bridge.

Fill the chamber with magma, in any way you choose.

Tell the mayor that if he pulls that lever, he will receive his aluminum bed.
