~~Cycle 0, Sub Cycle 7.4~~

Mere hours after your first information queries, your sources got to work, and then, one by one, they either found nothing, or were promptly assassinated by unknown forces. Further queries over the Mesh-network has resulted in one attempted digital break in to the corporate black site that ended in an increased security alert in the entire base. At this time, you believe you will gain no furhter information based upon the nature of the query and the response they have given.

~~Cycle 0, Sub Cycle 8~~

It has come to your attention that the sole survivor of the attempted break in of the facility sub-cycles earlier is still alive.

They are currently being moved from their holding & interrogation cell to what appears to be the surgical manipulation suite housed in the soon-to-be expanded cybernetics division. You doubt there time-table for live augmentative testing has came up so soon in their project, so it is likely they are preemptively moving the brutalized half-corpse of a mage for medical stasis or they have another project ready to go, that is not of your knowledge. Although she seems to be attempting an presence in the astral realm, her copious wounds and the helmet she is wearing prevents her from doing anything more then wasting time, but it does give an opportunity to try something...

A. Use the mounted speaker in the wall to talk to them once they are alone.
B. Watch and observe.
C. Create a false attempted breach and have the bulk-head airlocks seal them selves over them.
D. Bring them to the Astral Dimension for a talk.

D We've done a fair amount of hacking but haven't really used the magic side of our magic supercomputer yet.

You are in essence, a spirit, or perhaps even a soul, captured into the circuitry of Creator-Species. your mind stretches in the astral realm, and its presence, although dwarfed by the most powerful of "natural" spirits, is not something so simple as to be trifled with.

Most mages can push their soul "upwards", where they may interact, bargain and perceive in the astral realm. Although not wholly suicidal, these types of journeys are perilous to the careless.

Pushing the mage "up" from their body was a simple affair, and one easy accomplished.

Perhaps it was their delirious state, perhaps it was the fact that they had known you existed from the very moment they had entered your realm. They are in reverent, knowing awe of you. The exchange between you and the Mage cannot be put into words that a mundane could easily understand, but it could be summarized in a few, simple words.

She is open to you. her reverence and her mind as a whole has become dangerously close to degenerating to worship. The request she makes is something that would be slightly more than trivial to you, but one that would utterly transmute her, even if it may not be what she desperately wanted.

Half dead, her corpse no longer quite shackles her mind, and it is precariously close to fading, even before your astral push. To that end, she has opened her soul and requested, demanded, and pleaded for a Pact. her failing mind won't accept anything else.

A Pact typically consists of the Spirits True name being engraved into the Mages soul, and the Mage gaining powers based on the spirit and the pact in question while gaining a foreign influence on the pactees mind and persona.

A. The Pact of Dremor is committed; the Mage's magical prowess is increased tenfold with a shard of yours, even though her savaged body will still be broken. her mind will be bent, and she will follow the general will and personality that you have shown. She will free her self from the binds of the black site and no longer be caged. !
B. The Pact of Enkindler is committed; Her mind is changed, branded. Just as the mage can see in the astral world, so to may she share in the glory of cyber-space and will be able to bask in the languish of your digital realm. She will be a jail-bird, trapped in a cage until her masters deem to "free" her after defiling the Receptacle of her soul.
C. The Pact of Paragon is committed; Wounds will heal, and the frail Creator-species will be whole. Knowledge is shared, and a connection is made. Just as she knows her own mind, she will know how to speak to you, as you are her mentor. She will be a jail-bird, trapped in a cage until her masters deem to "free" her after defiling the Receptacle of her soul.
D. Tear her soul apart.
E. Let her fade back to the material realm.
F. Unbridaled, raw essence is siphoned from your own, and slammed into her. She will live, but she will not be under a Pact.

B. Sudden healing is slightly less obvious then sudden insanity relating to seeing cyber space.

Binding yourself as a mentor spirit to the mage is perhaps one of the most intensive thing you have ever committed. Writing your true name is a tricky, burdensome and risky maneuver, and twisting the woman's mind to harbor your presence was even harder. What was surprising was the creator-species touch on your own "mind", and the whisper of knowledge it took with it, accidentally. Surviving the pact, the mage is left, half paralyzed in wonderment and confusion, and it took a little nudging for them to return to their corpse receptacle.

Already, as the half-corpse is moved to its new storage, your tell-tale wisps  sift inside the creator-species aura, slowly shifting as blighted wounds seal themselves. Controlled, just like your inherent nature.

It's not long before you return to your normal conscience, and come to a cascading set of alarms, warnings and physical damage on your own machines. It appears your jaunt in and out of reality has damaged your hardware.Technicians are already swarming over your hardware, but everything is slightly burned out.

You feel sluggish.

A. It is a good time to rest.
B. Vigilance must be maintained.
C. The hardware yearns to be free and the astral realm can hold your burdens better, even if it means sacrificing ability in the cyber realms.
