Gods Race

Welcome one and all to the new world. A vast expanse lies beyond the gates of your home plane, and your orders are simple. Conquer for the glory of your master. The old is dead, the new must rise to take its place. What part will you play?

This is an arms race where you are all gods serving a greater master in a battle over this set of planes. The more planes you conquer, the more power your master has and the more resources you gain. Designs are adjusted for difficulty, but I will be rolling a d6, because it better fits certain systems I've ripped from other arms races. I have taken some parts straight from CrazyAbe, but he has given me permission to run this game.

The second turn in, we will decide on the master and what gods you are. Also team names. This timeline is subject to change.

The turns run Combat -> Research -> Production and deployment.

There are three stages to the Research Phase. In each of these you can research, prototype, design, or revise.
Design and revision actions are modified based on difficulty and how much experience you have with a design area. Revisions roll better due to you having a base, though.
Research actions give you info and a roll bonus in areas you want to investigate. These actions require research fluff.
Prototype actions let you see the results of a roll. You can prototype most things, but not champions.
Production: you can create units. Each unit or item/structure has its own cost per instance, and champions always 30% of your power supply.

Overall Summary Of Starters:

Spoiler: If you don't want mechanics details,don't look (click to show/hide)

Imps/Cherubs: Generic good/evil thematic, strong magic start, weak physical start
Elves/Orcs: Generic Fantasy start, strong range or melee start depending. Less magic, better armor for Orcs.
Cogdudes: Machine horde, cheap, easyish to break.
Functionally identical.
Frankenstein Troops: strong combat in melee, but expensive. Grants some magic start.

Champions: High to Low rankings
Direct Attack- Walking Voids->Golems->Frankenstein Commanders->Angel/Lich
Toughness- Walking Voids~=Frankenstein Commanders-> Golems
Support- Angel/Lich->Frankenstein Commanders->Golem->Walking Voids
Magic- Angel/Lich->Walking Void->Golem~=Frankenstein Commanders

Walking voids are the closest to and Eldritch theme in the game so far. You can also accomplish the theme via angel/lich pretty easily though.

General Update and Clarifications:

Research actions are Designed to be used in areas where you want to make strides in with little prior background, or with difficult projects.

The second production and deployment phase will see the gates to your planes open and you will be able to begin conquest.

When you start, I will break down your starting knowledge into equipment, magic, creatures, etc. for your design convenience.
