Glass is, as usual, correct.
Yep, as ever, I bestow upon Glass the expected +1
I'm gonna say we go with whatever Glass's idea is.

Oh, start-of-game stuff. I thought you meant end-of-turn stuff. Sorry.

Okay folks turn updates will roll in piecemeal, more specifically official events for the next month will drop in the IC-Thread you can respond and roleplay to them, but please refrain from any new actions until you got your turn update.

EDIT: whoops got a bit ahead of myself, we ar estill waiting for Roboson to do his turn :P

I believe roboson is having a existential b12 crisis (as in IRL stuff is delaying his activity on b12)

Roboson told me that he's got to drop out of the game ghaz. Might want to see if someone's willing to replace him in the US or else go and pick someone from the waitlist.

Hey yeah look, could I play as Nauru? I know it's fairly insignificant, but it falls under Australia's jurisdiction for defense. Plus, sick ass alien ground battles in mined out phosphate ridges. How badass could that be?

(also i guess it is kind of significant given it's where Aus dumps most refugees, besides PNG)

Is this because I asked on the bay12lb discord about 'Do y'all have other countries that you could suggest for fighting aliens'? :P

Because I'm replacing Roboson it appears. And sent a list...of countries to the GM. ._.;
But woo, it's nice seeing Reudh in other places than GD.

Heh i am afraid not Reudh^^

While certainly the idea is funny Nauru is way too insignificant in terms of game mechanics. With just ten thousand inhabitants you would need to draft all adult men for a single regiment of soldiers and you wouldn't even get a single IC if we count your entire GDP added up.

Even assuming we are very generous and simply assume that Australia bankrolls several Spec-Ops Cadres, you would have a rather insignificant impact on the game.
I'll however include Nauru should the Bassai invade Australia ^^

Still hashing some nation related stuff out with Tiruin but i think we should be done soon.

mostly because i wanted to post it in here and then to the folks via pm in case Tiruin bows out if she can't play the Philippines.

Anyway. After some back and forth Tiruin now will replace the most powerful military nation on earth with a total of several thousand nukes available and the biggest economy on the planet...with the Philippines.
May god have mercy on you.

i am regretting this already.

Anyway from now on waitlist goes as follows due to players having answered:
1. piratejoe
2. MaximumSpin
3. Happerry

I actually gave it much thought :P If I played another country, given this is more strategically focused, I found I may not have that much fun in comparison. Even if it's just a few turns (and then we become the aliens u_u), and then waitlist gets boop'd, I will have THE MOST FUN having played this country. :3

I mean I even get to write real-world flavor and fantasy-references to XCOM while I'm at it. So yay. Also North Korea was a substitute choice for me, but we're actually better than them overall >_> And if at least, in STABILITY, so humpf. We will not give up most likely getting occupied much like one of the newbie/tutorial levels by alien RTS players; not without a fight! I will improvise the UMPF out of the potential this nation has! From being a trade route necessity to having this world-class harbor, I'll do my best with this!

I'm going to totally ask for updated arms and tech from Russia or China because that's totally what's happening IRL anyway.
