"Law, right? That seems pretty cool. You working as a lawyer or a judge?"

Dom says, checking the time on his phone.

Alex gives Idunna a confused look before he comes to an important realization.
"Oh hell we haven't met, have we? I'm Alexander Rand, Law student. That question must have seemed very out of left field if you've never met me. Though, as Bernice has shown, being in my presence makes it very clear what my chosen vocation is.

He then checks the time on his phone and nods at Dom.
"Quite right, we should go post-haste. I have to admit I'm getting a little peckish and some Hate Fowl is sure to clear that up right and proper."

Lilly nodded. "So... what's a 'chic-fil-a'? I've never been to one, so not sure why people were saying it was bad..."

Alex got a dazzling bright, if small, smile. "Idunna. I'm Bernie's roomie." She added the last part almost defensively. As if she was used to having to dispel assumptions. The moniker of 'Hate Fowl' made her giggle. But she otherwise stayed out of the conversation.

Alex simply smooths over that weird addition and continues on with the conversation.
"Good to hear. I think we're all on the same floor, which means that this will more than likely be the center of our social group adding or subtracting one or two more people. From what I understand from my siblings and cousins, if your band of misfits survives the first few months of freshman year, you will have a strongly bonded group that will last a lifetime. That is, of course, only what I've heard. I don't think making any pacts or magically enforced bonds will be necessary."

Bernie snorts.
"That sounds like an anime, honestly. But hey, having good buddies for life sounds nice."

That just widened Idunna's childish smile. "So I shouldn't be making magical friendship bracelets?"

Since no one seems to protest, the group heads off to Chic-Fil-A. They soon arrive at the vaguely clean and quite full resteraunt, not very surprising since it's lunch time. Dom steers the group to go sit down rather than immediately order.
"So, uh, just in case there's any obvious problems I think it'd be best if one of us ordered instead of us all doing it."

"Sounds like a plan. Just get me something small but flavorful, I trust you to know what's good here." Once they were seated, Scarlet withdrew her phone. She pulled up her messenger and tapped out another text message.

She kept the device out after doing so, bringing up the browser and idly clicking through a news site.

"Do they have any vegetarian options?" Lilly said after a bit, feeling faintly ridiculous. She'd blush if she was capable of it. She realized that she drank blood now - she'd had a few months to get used to the concept - but that didn't mean she was about to go and eat a chicken. She kept her gaze down. Maybe nobody would notice the red eyes. And just assume she was naturally pale or something.

Dom looks at the menu for a bit before turning back to Lilly.
"They have a parfait, fruit cups, side salads, something that looks like a salad that they call a "super food side", and Waffle Fries."
He looks down at his phone and quickly sent a response.

They probably have your phone bugged or something so it'd be better to just whisper if you don't want a guard finding out. 
That said, He basically was assuming I just wanted to shag you and telling me that's a terrible idea.

The guard in question seems quite relaxed, keeping a casual eye on the situation despite mostly just looking like he's relaxing in his chair.

don't really feel like eating anyone's face and people aren't really known for their self-control when genitals are involved

"You should grab an order of waffle fries anyway, actually." Scarlet did her best to give the impression of relaxing in her seat, but much like the earlier situation, this one didn't make her particularly comfortable. Though at least the size of the group meant that it wasn't 100% clear who the guard was here for.

"Uh... I guess I'll have that 'super food side' and a parfait?" Lilly said after a moment's consideration. She tried to look as if she wasn't very nervous, and pretty much achieved this via turning her phone on and focusing on something on the screen. Calm down. It's going to be fine, Lilly, you're just... out in public. As a vampire when most people think you should be staked for existing. And there's a fairly large amount of people in close proximity and you're fairly sure you saw that one guy with a big cut- alright stop. She took a deep breath, although she was fairly sure she didn't actually need to breath anymore. She could control herself.
