According to Google, the border between France and Germany is approximately 450km. So we'd need 450 battalions to be able to draw an unbroken line from one side to the other. We could just about get away with 112, if we stretched each battalion out to 2km, and had a 2km gap in between each one. They'd still be able to exert force anywhere down that line, but it'll be much more fragile.

We're currently at 65 battalions, so we're a little ways off. Pumping out regulars at our current rate, we'll have 98 ready to go at the start of the war. They'll have 150 if they do nothing but spam regulars. 300 if they  fill up with militia to have the maximum initial deployment.

However, we also have plenty of arty, with an effective range of 10km. This means we only need 45 artillery positions to provide overlapping arty fire across the entire front.

I'd appreciate if you could hold off a little Aigre, I'm hoping to get some Arms Race voting m Vote Boxing I  here for these plans.

And that arty will be annihilating them since they have to move up if we entrench where we stand. Infantry can be reinforced easily, but artillery isn't the easiest to get to the front in a timely manner.

Neither side is going to have the manpower to cover the front completely with infantry at the time the war starts, but if we go artillery heavy (with light guns) we can absolutely decimate their positions before they've got a chance to dig in. That'll hurt their PP gain significantly and reduce their ability to cover the front.

Cool, we now have 116 light artillery batteries to go with our 73 infantry battalions.

I would very much like to add some additional infantry to our forces.

We can easily add another 50 battalions, plus a few spare companies, although people will no doubt want more artillery. I'll cone you with a training plan in a bit.

Id like to put a PP into Steel, just to bring us back up to pre-war production. After that, I'd be happy to throw more at both the Netherlands and recruitment.

Yeah, more infantry is good at this stage, though we should continue to have a small trickle of artillery reinforcements to ensure we keep having fire support.

I do not want to adjust our steel/recruitment ratio currently unless we increase recruitment. We would actually lose more than we gained with our previous point in mobilization.

This plan brings our infantry up to the same numbers as our artillery, then increases them both in step.
Quote from: Infantry Rollout
49 Battalions (49,000 men) start training as Regulars
- 490 tons for Infantry Equipment
- 490 tons for Trench Armour

7 Batteries (1,750 men) start training as Light Gunners
- 350 tons for the guns

Total Cost: 50,750/50,930 Men, 1,330/2,489.504 Steel

We're already at a ratio of about 3 batteries per 2 battalions, this plan just makes that official.
Quote from: Close Fire Support
29 Battalions (29,000 men) start training as Regulars
- 290 tons for Infantry Equipment
- 290 tons for Trench Armour

37 Battery (9,250 men) start training as Light Gunners
- 1,850 tons for the guns

Total Cost: 38,250/50,930 Men, 2,430/2,489.504 Steel

Some people really like arty, this plan is for them.
Quote from: I heard you like Guns
48 Batteries (12,000 men) start training as Light Gunners
- 2,400 tons for the guns

4 Battalions (4,000 men) start training as Regulars
- 40 tons of Infantry Equipment
- 40 tons of Trench Armour

Total Cost: 16,000/50,930 Men, 2,480/2,489.504 Steel

Regarding PP, I'd like to put one into Mobilisation, one into Steel to counter the steel drop, one into flirting with the Netherlands, and two into recruitment.

+1 to the Infantry Rollout, simply because we need boots on the ground and i am afraid that the enemy might be able to capture guns.

They shouldn't be, because it (so far as I know) isn't listed anywhere in the mechanics section.
