Increasing our mobilisation rate is fine and all, but we need to keep our steel production up as well. Moreover, we'll need more steel to outfit larger numbers of mobilised men, especially with large quantities of artillery and armour.

January 1914:

So far we have 2 agreeing posts for 2 pp into steel expansion, 3 into recruitment.

Increases are multiplicative.

Deutchland also begins training 35 infantry battalions and 750 light artillery pieces in 30 batteries  for 42,500 manpower and 2,200 Metric Tons of Steel.

Available military volunteers: 37,500
Political Points: 5
Steel stockpile: 2,800 Metric Tons
Production: 2,550.25 Metric Tons

Training:
35,000 Armoured Regular Infantry (Available 1 April 1914)
750 Light Artillery (Available 1 April 1914)

Alrighty. This is my suggested follow up:

This fills out Taricus' Divisional Register and provides an additional Heavy Artillery Division, which can be deployed as needed.

Again, our limiting factor is Steel, however I imagine we will be losing infantry faster than we will lose Artillery.

Okay so, the French have 50k men in training so they are bringing the mass instead of the class. Since this season they get another 50k soldiers we should stock up on manpower this turn.

I know our Steel is rather lacklustre but fact is that the french alrready have 8k more men in the field, after this turn assuming we take kashyyks plan and assuming they use all their manpower again it would rise up to 48k thousand more in the field.

Now we may be entrenched and defending but we definetly need more men in the field or they just get past us along the length of the front. So i move that we put all our pp in manpower for now.

Given the two PP we already have in the steel industry, it'd be prodent to bolster our mobilisation by two PP, allowing us to being forth 60000 men next turn.

Though right now, just outright ignoring heavy guns so we can go with lights is a better option; heavies only do two times the damage for three times the cost in steel, and the heavy guns have the same range as the lights so they aren't worth it.

Yeah, far too small a difference to really change much. They're still far too expensive to bring to the field for what they do.

That is up to you to decide, I am not playing. Was just correcting the inaccuracy in your previous post stating that they have same range.

If we drop the Heavy Gun batteries, we'd have enough Steel for four more Armoured Infantry Divisions. At that point we'd be running out of men again.

Well, we can train less men this turn to use more of them in the artillery. The more artillery we have the better.

If anything, we should train the maximum number of troops now (Artillery really screws with this...) and catch up on equipping them later, as we produce more steel (And invest points into steel production and politicking and whatnot).

Not having our troops be properly equipped will be a disaster. Better to have a smaller amount of fully equipped troops than a large number of conscripts. Artillery doesn't screw with it too badly if we stick with the light guns, though we NEED more artillery to outfit our divisions.

No no no, I mean we start troops training NOW, so they're all finished training before the war starts, and just catch up on equipping them as we produce more steel, ALSO before the war truly begins.

I don't think we can do that. I mean, it'd be a bit difficult training a soldier to shoot when he's got no gun to shoot with.
