@GM, Will we be able to use tactics not explicitly defined in the rules? For example, I know you described perfect knowledge, but are there any cases in which we could attempt stealth?

Technically this is before WWI (i.e., before the onset of mechanized warfare), so the score is Barbarians 1, Roman Empire 0.

If that 2-0 is based on WW1 and 2, just remember you would have lost in both if it weren't for those English. Sadly, your union jack friend wont be handing over their Arico DH2's, or their Sopwith's, or their Handley Page's, or their tanks...Honestly, considering how much they have, the war should be over before Christmas unless you get them on your side again.

Making a minor balancing change.

Heavy Artillery has a 20% range advantage over the light artillery. So it shoots out to a maximum of 12 km now. 1.2/3.6/12 km are the range numbers. This gives it more tactical distinction over light artillery while light artillery is still numerically efficient to bring en masse to the field.
