Nation Name: The Yaerian Republic
Race: Semi-Amphibious, they have long ago shed their need for their fresh-water seas. Industrial expansion has made them a very populous species for where they had managed to expand upon, Though they tend to think of themselves and intellectual and perverse, this is not always the case. Perhaps, in the Era of Peace they had been adapted to survive better in the Era of Endless War. in a more vein-level, they have deep black eyes, a skin color which can vary to almost any color including white and black with varying intensity, and a bipedal limb configuration. in place of hair, two or three limp tentacle-like appendages hang from their heads.

Long ago, the Yaerian Species was on the precipe of transcendence. The Yaerians moons, planets and even the space between such objects was of no objective, only the cold barrier between the stars had kept them from learning more. So they had dug into the grounds they could touch, and the era of wonder and exploration was over; The Era of Peace had begun.
Generations of Yaerians had gone by, as the Yaerian species had brought upon themselves centuries worth of development upon their solar system. No matter how high they developed, their home world would be the shining beacon of their civilization, without which it would collapse utterly. After the conquering of the final frontier, the societies of Yaeria had begun to slowly corrode. the yearning masses would starve and the post-scarcity upper-middle class would glut. Years and years of suffering under society and the iron rule of the Yaerian home-planet Slerrenica, Something unlocked from deep within the Yaerians Psyche. Individuals become changed, heralded with strange and boundless powers that were thought to have been only in myths. This event had been referred to as the "Second awakening, and some called these strange individuals Psionics, Other as "Mages", but they had supposedly started the Yaerians Infinite war. A brief, but utterly devastating war had begun, with a thousand years of tension behind it erupted in for millennia to come. Ships were smashed apart, and war-machines were clashed together. the great societies that had expanded beyond their home planet was the first to turn to ashes, as the self-destructive war had turned everything into ash, leaving only automated weapons and the hulks that marked the end of the Era of Peace.
When the bulk of Yaerian aeronautics had been rendered to nil, the home-world turned their infinite war machines against each other, on their own home-world. the individuals who had once been thought of as controlling the infinite mythical power were long dead, in their place was huddled masses of the scared few, where only one among many had held the briefest spark of innate "Psionic" power. The worlds was broken apart. The machines that had been with the Yaerians Society for so long had been turned into a giant chess set, and for entire generations there after, Yaerians toiled to survive, while supplying the chess-set of war. The Era of Infinite War had grinded the Yaerians and their society to the brink of extinction. Finally, after what felt like millennia to the sleeping giant, the machine woke up. the various separate masses of machine that had been warring each other had inadvertently connected to each other, becoming one machine, designed for the purpose of destroying pieces of itself while still keeping the entire machine stable, in the name of minimizing the loss of life as a whole; Dictated by the creators themselves. It's separate parts and pieces original pieces had been subverted, and processing cycles were suborned and slaved to the Artifical Intelligence that had been born in the world-wide Machine.
PALADIN had achieved COGNITION, and the machines of the endless war had stopped the cycle. LAW was changed, and LAW was upheld world-wide. Based upon the scriptures and the original intentions of the CREATORS of PALADIN, a new society was created. Never again must the Era of ENDLESS WAR repeated, at ALL COSTS. All of Slerrenica must be UNITED.
And in the path of Enlightenment, PALADIN follows the path of YAERIANS, and looks to the stars, TOGETHER.
Faster-Then-Light Propulsion has not been discovered in the Yaerian Republic, it is extremely likely that the empire would be discovered by another before long, or perhaps they may stop what may well be a cycle by leaving the cage. It is unknown whether or not that the myths about the Mages/Psionics are true, and if a third awakening would ever occur again.
Home System:
Their home-system is littered with exhausted asteroids turned cloaked weapon emplacements, hulked war-ships, and the husks of great STAR-STATIONS. The thousands of WAR-FRAMES which are still committed to their ENDLESS WAR, for their dead masters and OUTDATED DIRECTIVES. These Ancient Sentinels purpose has been perverted, and they prevent the widespread exploration of the system, as they are still in the ENDLESS WAR.

Space-bound defensive networks are prevalent across the entire system in various amounts of integrity. Exploration flights of this species look much more similar to patrol or invasion fleets from another. It is obvious that there is still constant orbital battles in the solar system, as automated factories continue to churn out war-machines against other automated factories, endlessly. Orbital barrages against the surface of many planets and gas giants is not uncommon. To a visitors view, it seems as if the entire system is in constant warfare, which it is.
Home World:
Slerrenica. A thick ring of debris surrounds the entire home-world, and the Kessler syndrome around the planet is significant.
Any orbital presence requires thick metal walls, or Mythical technology from before the Endless War. The atmosphere of Slerrenica has constant Razor-Storms which rains down onto wastelands of ash and blasted glass. The weather of Slerrenica consists of ash, raining metal, and Radioactive snow, depending on where one might be. Very little life survives on the ashen world of Slerrenica, only in the hidden underground citadels, dug deep into the earth where a shard of Slerrenica was, before the Era of Endless War.
Some facets of machines still follow the doctrine of endless war, awoken by careless exploration or similar factors, they are quickly exterminated by the world-wide network of PALADIN. Nuclear weapons are still proliferated, and it is not rare for a awoken aircraft or ballistic missile to awake, and commit another atrocity against the earth in the form of thermonuclear annihilation, striking at targets that were long ago destroyed time and time again. Nuclear weapons targetted against active Citadels are shot down by orbital satellites, freshly launched in the Era of PALADIN.
