Thanking the Azure Terrapin for the asynchronous timestream, Clestesth begins working on a certain Universal shard Lo may be interested in.

  • The timestream isn't asynchronous here. All actions hit at the turn change.
  • You can't work on Universal shards. You can't create Universal shards. You start with one and have one.
  • Secret actions are still prohibited as of right now. You must be more specific on what you're doing.

Turn 2 partial

Change: I'm making the turns 12 hours long. That means that I can also tell you that this turn is night in Sednelar and day in Carklock and Vilyrian.

Note that when Kseowhat can intervene and detects your acts that might be luck, or it might be another god telling him what your actions are. The level he can interfere is dependent on your precise roll - he might be able to bend a 3 into whatever he wants, but he can't touch a 5.

Create an Anchored Shard anchored to the Da. If possible, offer the Da the god-defying arts of the Cicadas in exchange for cooperation. (Clestesth is unlikely to actually have this knowledge, and it probably doesn't work in this universe, but whatever :P )

Action is (General).

[5] - Epic success

Clestesth anchors a Shard among the Da. He promises the knowledge of how to defy gods. Frustrated with Kseowhat, they turn to him wholeheartedly.

Utilizing a planetary shard

Create a magical aura around the eggplant 🍆 moon of Datum, it makes all of the mortals on the planetmoon the gift of a heightened sense of intelligence and increased desire to progress technology, there is a caveat to this beneficial boon. The aura makes the mortals, more prone to extreme measures... as in they have a sadistic pleasure in progressing scientific progression (human eggplant experimentation)

Action is (Air|Vacuum); you are (Decay|Salt)

[4] - Success

X’arilyg creates a field over the Da, driving them to scientific advancement at the cost of sadistic experimentation on their fellows!

Kseowhat sees this but is powerless to stop it. The most he can do is to inject a message of kinship into the field, appealing to the empathy of the Da and convincing them to not experiment on fellow members of their species.

The Da begin work on their Stargate project in earnest!

New Event: Da portal engineering. Begins at 0%, changes (d19-2d2) per turn. This can be modified by your actions.

using the power of my Continental shard i have natural disasters of ash/fire happen across the land hopefully destroying the food supply they have, and have it do this twice, while i create Memetic shards to the idea of destruction in all forms

Action is (Fire|Ash) and you are (Fire|Ash).

Second is (General).

[5] - Epic Success

[5] - Epic Success

Tornadoes of fire and ash spread across the continent of Carklock! Many towns are hit by these and burned down and vast forest fires are started among Carklock’s beautiful forests!

And just when they think it can’t get worse, it happens again!

Zil Tempest makes a memetic shard to the idea of destruction. The ruined people of Carklock provide plenty of food for this one!

Using a planetary shard, swirl the upper atmosphere of Meridian into a massive storm.

Action is (Air|Lightning) and you are (Air|Vacuum)

[3] - Partial success

The atmosphere of Meridian is already a massive storm, but you manage to increase it a bit.

Try again. Create a planetary shard on the planet, hoping my skill at this has increased. Then melt the ice cap using fire, flooding the world.

You get one action a turn.

(General)

[5] - Epic success

Grimmer creates a planetary shard at the planet!

Create a Continental shard at what seems to be the least used continent of The planet.
Contemplate the creation of a new planet.

(General)

[5] - Epic success

Audditorius creates a continental shard on Sedlenar, the sparsely populated desert continent.

Using Continental Shard (of Subterranean Fires): First an foremost; the shard greatly enriches the mineral density of the underground of Vilyrian. After all, the Deeper Earth holds great riches, does it not? After this, he gets a plan, a great plan, but one that cannot be executed properly just yet.
So for now, this shard splits off a Biome sized Shard targeted to the land above its domain.

The main Shard of Cavefriend then, taking note of the normal surface dwelling mortal's inability to see in the dark, alters the fabric of the universe, causing crystals to glow, the purer and finer the crystal, the brighter.

First is a (Earth|Mineral) so you get a boost.

Second is a bit questionable as your Continental has no control over the surface. I’ll have it apply to shallow caves.

Third is big enough to be (Creation|Radiance|Specific) so no can do,

[5] - Epic success

[4] - Success

Cavefriend enriches the mineral resources of the lands deep under Vilyrian!

Cavefriend also places a shard in control over the small caves, ditches, and hollows of Vilyrian.

"Burn? Burn with fire, scythe and scepter. Fire cleanses. Fire lives. Fire hidden things reveals. Scorch this desert. Peer into resulting glass. See the hidden face of self. See the tyrant in the sky. Heed the call of life and ash. Tear the mask of lies asunder. And all shall be yours."
Grall imparts his revelation in a suitably cryptic manner to the lone Aissh.
And secretly anchors an Anchored shard inside him.

Usually shard creations are General, but since this is paired with a mortal conversation:

(Fire|Smoke) and you are same.

[4] - Success

The Aissh hears a voice speaking of fire and ruin.

He at first mistakes it for his own imagination, for it mirrors his own thoughts, but soon realizes that another power is speaking to him.

He gazes up at the blinding blue light of the Abode of Kseowhat. He wonders if he could be the tyrant in the sky mentioned.

He whispered to the silent desert air: “Who are you?”

The blue flecks of energy focusing lens around Kseowhat’s Abode begin to move, concentrating a form of light energy at the center. He seems to be charging it for something.

New Event: Kseowhat energy charge. Starts at 0% and increases by (d20) each turn. Can be affected by your actions.

Net results of turn:
+1 Clestesth Anchored Shard
+1 Mad Science Field over Datum
+1 Natural Disaster at Carklock
+1 Memetic shard to Destruction for X’arilyg

By a wave an invisible hand unnatural shadows seep and dart across the surface. Some are holding bright fire, streaking over the continent. Rumbles start erupting around the populated areas. More now revel in progress.

Possibly due to Kseowhat's influence, Clestesth's 🍆/Da shard feels an unexpected tug to fulfill Its end of the bargain. How delightfully strange! The 🍆 shard takes 3 actions to attempt to partially replicate the Cicada's Sigils (3A), possibly tuning them specifically to ward against lawfulness and Kseowhat's influence rather than elements/para-elements/quasi-elements if this makes creating them easier.

Additionally, so as to pass some time, the 🍆 shard informs the Da that Datum may be able to block the influence of Adobe! (1A) In theory, this should affect those on the opposite side of Datum (with respect to Adobe) too, but Clestesth hasn't done any testing. Perhaps if this shard has time, it can help them run a few tests to see if experimental subjects scream less when Adobe is visible or dice are less loaded or something. Clestesth is proud of their new science-y hobbies, introduced by X'arilyg.

Next Action:

X’arilyg the friendly eyeball inserts some progressive ideologies onto the Da. After expending the memetic shard to perform this shift in mentality, two acts shall be spent on the Da having a desire for a brand new way of thinking called “Xenoimperialism” in which the civilization desires to conquer and have territory of illegal aliens, and will do so through diplomacy or military means, usually gunboat diplomacy. Another act, is used in the way of thinking of Da, to make them more “militaristic”, as in the Da mindset feels really happy and secure, mainly comfortable, when their government has a lot of big guns and ships to help them against foreign intruders. Finally, inserting the ideology with 1 Act of a thing a Da mad scientist created a few months ago, called “Xenocuriosity”, in which the Da have a desire to perform research and... experimentation against aliens and the like, maybe they get some pleasure out of it?.

Also have many of those “unlimited” memetic actions, of having godly talks with the leaders of the 🍆 people, knowing a little bit of culture and history with them, while we both share a cup of tea.

A bit miffed now, and hearing of the locals budding space program Cavefriend instead works to create a planetoid, one filled with rich ore, brilliant crystals.... And thousands upon thousands of major fault lines... Placement of this planetoid is carefully placed, where tidal forces of the gravity of the moons and planet will tear it apart, scattering thousands upon thousands of smaller shards of it throughout its orbit.

Turn 2 partial

(Night in Sednelar and Northstop and day in Carklock and Vilyrian.)

Memetic Shard:

>Incite very vivid dreams of mass production in the minds of the great engineers and industrialists of Carklock
>Possess a craftsman of Carklock to produce a method to produce a very profitable/useful product that is in demand in his/her civilisation. E.g. spinning jennies, Bessemer process or whatever is appropriate.
>Encourage random groups of craftsmen to organise craftsmen unions dedicated to better conditions and advantages for their occupation.
>Influence a group of Ka craftsmen to suddenly create muzzled-loading rifles.

They are all (Air|Smoke) since they deal with reason and some creativity and you are (Fire|Radiance)

[6] - Overshoot

[4] - Success

[1] - Total failure

[5] - Epic success

Vivid dreams of massive industry and production suddenly appear in the minds of the industrialists of Carklock! Feeling empowered, they launch a revolt against what they see as a stifling and unproductive nobility of the Raedan Kingdom.

At almost the same time, the invention of the blast furnace, and industrialized metallurgy in general, marks a great deviation from the days of hand-smelting and casting steel. A group of Ka craftsmen also develop muzzle-loading rifles, a huge step up from the spears and swords used earlier. The Ka refuse to give them to the people, however, citing the civil war.

New event: War in Carklock. Both the Industrialist and Monarchy sides begin at 0% and each gets to roll 2d6 per turn; this amount is added to their side and subtracted from the other. When either reaches -25% or 50%, you get an enthalpy. This can be affected by your actions, and you can even make it so that it’s not a zero sum game and one can benefit without hurting the other.

To start, the Ash Catastrophe causes a -d4 to both until food stores are normal again and the rifles, if they are taken from the Ka, will result in a +d20 to attack.

Using his local shard, enacts a protective barrier to ward off dangerous weather patterns, objects, and almost anything else. However the mortals carrying in and out what they need or want passing through the barrier until it is no longer needed. The barrier is transparent blue. Sensing words of worshipers in a specific continent uses his stored memetic shard of warfare at the largest gathering of his worshipers.

Shield is (Air|Lightning) and you are (Air|Ice) so that’s a +1.

[2] - Failure

…the shield simply fails to manifest.

By a wave an invisible hand unnatural shadows seep and dart across the surface. Some are holding bright fire, streaking over the continent. Rumbles start erupting around the populated areas. More now revel in progress.

This is (Fire|Smoke)

[1] - Abject failure

This fails totally! Now, the rest of you can guess what he actually meant.

This is (Creation|Mineral) and you are (Earth|Mineral) so +1.

[5] - Epic success

A new cosmic body is formed, a fragile world of rich ore and shining crystal! It drifts among the planets and moons. Periodically, a large fragment of its crust cracks off and beautiful minerals rain upon the worlds.

New Mechanic: Crystal rain. Every world has a 1-in-3 chance of getting a crystal shower each turn. This can be affected by your efforts.

"Grall. God of all deserts. And their peoples. Your name?"

Universal shard: Create a continental shard on the desert continent.

[6] - Overshoot

You create a Continental shard on Sednelar!

Aissh: “I am called Kisar-Winding-Path among my own people. You are a god? You oppose Kseowhat?”

Also, your little trick with the ash catastrophe earns you +1 enthalpy and a new event.

New event: Rebuild Carklock. Begins at 0% and rises by (3d10) per turn. This can be affected by your actions. Effects on war cease at 50%

Net results of evaluation:

Metallurgy and infantry for the Raedan Kingdom
+1 civil war
+1 jewel planet
+1 Grall Continental Shard on Sednelar.
+1 enthalpy

And you too, X'arilyg. Your Memetic shard cannot act this turn.

I believe that I have evaluated all present actions. If you have an action pending, please scream and shout.

X'arilyg: 1 Universal
Zil Tempest: 1 Continental
Gello: 1 Universal
Tachyon: 1 Universal, 3 Local
Lo: 1 Universal
