Limestone, 130.
Work continues on the pit.
I partially took apart the grates and reconfigured some things. Now the bridges are going in, and it seems like it's working.
Finally, our rancor herd has grown.
Limestone, 130.
I forgot I left the military outside and they almost starved to death. Whoops. I let them back in, so no harm no foul. Anyway...
Behold the power of this
fully armed and operational rancor pit! It features grates for easy viewing, two retractable bridges for dropping prisoners, (the lever is there on the side, and a bloodstained naturalistic interior. For ease of stocking it with monsters and removing unwanted inhabitants, I have added a service tunnel a bit farther down.
The only thing we lack is wild rancors to indiscriminately devour whoever we chuck in there. To that end, I'm reopening the caverns to lure some in. Not to worry, the cage traps are still active. We've got a pack of caged
barghests, but that doesn't seem right.

We've collected a laigrek from the caverns, and an artifact was completed. It's a serrated disc that the creator claimed in the name of his ancestor, Imic.
The two ghosts we had have also been put to rest and the barghest pack has been tamed. *Edit, it appears they weren't as tame as we thought. One tried to bite a rebel and had to be put down. The others have been confined to the beast training area until further notice.

Imic has a new niece. However, this happy event was counterbalanced by a bone carver somehow dying by getting trapped and dehydrated in the bowyer's workshop. I'm not sure how it happened.
My term's just about up. The biggest current issues are a lack of traction benches and our need for a monster to fill the pit. The siege is offically over now, so that's going well at least.
A Yuuzhan Vong is visiting us in peace. From her armor, it appears she has joined the Mandalorians and thus is not allied with our enemies.

Some migrants arrived, for the first time in a while. I also finally got the traction benches set up. Now the doctors can finally fix my foot.

For my last month, I'm having the walls of the temple section smoothed and engraved. A carpenter has been possessed, but not much else of interest happened this month.
Here's the save.
