The Glove of Art
A seemingly ordinary silken glove [I guess I should have made clear all I wanted is a physical description, not magical powers]
Located at the upstream end of the Toolmark canyon, where 3 rivers meet to rush through the Howlwind mountains, is the city of Toolmark's crossing. It's a city of merchant and traders, deriving it's wealth from it's control over the canyon and it's extensive trading empire. Spidersilk, herbs and potions from the Howling forests, metals and gems from dwarven miners, grain and fish from the fertile plains all pass through these walls.
The city itself is straddled across the 3 rivers, split into districts through canals and walls. On the outer edge of the city, between the warehouses and docks, live the commonfolk, who work tirelessly to bring in the goods and food that sustain the city. Closer inwards one finds the merchants markets, splendid plaza's where one can admire goods from across the region. Further inwards, on the few bits of raised land that the city possess, stand the 7 palaces of the Merchant Princes, splendorous constructions that announce the wealth of their inhabitants to all within the city.
It's in one of these palaces that you find yourself, a simple silk glove tucked away in a box in a closet, waiting to be found. It doesn't take long for you to be discovered, and taken out of the vault ...
A : By a thief, stealing you away in the night, unfazed by the terrible fate that awaits them should they be caught.
B : As a wedding gift, strengthening an alliance between two merchant houses among the ever changing politics of the city
C : As a price, an exorbitant price paid for services rendered.
