new fortress, first migrant wave brought a stand extractor who's 100 years old, he has at least expert in every social skill and competent swords dwarf and novice in the to other basic fighting skills (dodger, observer, etc) I've noticed however, that he has no thoughts about food, drink, dining tables, beds, etc, indicting he hasn't been to any, he also suffers from cave adaption, and threw up when I sent him to pasture my turkeys, so, do vampire dwarves suffer from cave adaption, and if so, what other things could indicate he's a vamp?

don't walk past the unoccupied beds to sleep on the floor and then complain about it

Vampire dwarves still suffer from cave adaptation. If you're concerned, you can lock him in a suite with food, drink, a bed set to be a bedroom but not assigned to anyone, and something to do (just so he's not a waste of space). If he's a normal dwarf, he'll claim the bed after a couple of months at most. If he's a vamp, the bed remains unclaimed. The food and drink will also not be touched, but that requires you to keep count.

I am trying to make chickens lay bees as eggs. So far it only produces a single "Tame Small Creature" when a hen lays bees.
Honestly at the time, I didn't see what could go wrong with crowding 80 military Dwarves into a small room with a necromancer for the purpose of making bacon.

You usually do things the opposite way to what Sutremaine suggests, i.e. lock the suspects/screened migrants into (separate) rooms without food or drink and then check up on them once in a while. If they become hungry/thirsty they're not vampires. An unclaimed bed in the room is a good idea, however. Also, remember to check up on your subjects, or you'll kill the non vampires, and if that was the intention it's a lot faster to use a drowning chamber.

If you forget to check up them and they die, they weren't a vampire. :3
You could also leave drink in there (a water pit is fine) but no food. Takes a little longer because dwarves drink more often than they eat, but you do get a 'Hunt For Small Creature' warning in the unit list.
