To me, the bombing is secondary; something to have it be immediately effective in combat at least for a bit. The real benefits are the TC it gives us and the turboshaft experience.
Anyways, I'm doing two things since there's a lot of opposition to the Eagle from people who aren't voting for it:
1.) Making a secondary "b" variant of the Eagle, below. This variant is just 100m long, removes mention of the Ironcasters (to be safe), and is semi-rigid again. I'm okay with either, but hopefully others hate this variant less.
2.) Adding a secondary vote to the Draft, to allow it to be more competitive for people who prefer the helicopter.
NAF-LAB-51b "Eagle" Airship (Variant B)
The Eagle is a semi-rigid zepellin style airship. A duralinium framework holds up it's streamlined cigarlike form, within which reside numerous hydrogen filled gas bags. It has a length of about 100 meters. This gives it a significant lifting capacity.
Propulsion is provided by 4 propellers jutting out of the side of the hull, each of which is reversible and can be operated individually. Beneath the airship hang 4 gondola's. The bridge gondola, the engine gondola that contains the turboshafts driving the propellors, and 2 payload gondola's, which can either contain goods/personnel or bombs. Positions are prepared for, but not armed with, possible machine guns.
For safety, it's equipped with lifeboats, vests, and some essentials for the crew and possibly passengers.

(I'm voting for 3 things, yes, but I consider both variants of the Eagle the same so it's all good!)
