Are we just gonna coinflip between tiny helicopter tender and ridiculously tiny helicopter tender?

No, it's a coinflip between converting our radio to consumer tech and adding Jamming or the tiny heli tender.

We need a big carrier, that is able to bring our aerial superiority to bear and renew our old ship´s engines. While this might be an ambitious revision, we have the dice to pull it off.

The Huànguān Support Carrier Ship (SCS)

Our design team started by upgrading our ship designs with our new gas turbine, with the goal of achieving more speed (Dogbiter). From there on, we can proceed to the design on hand.

We have removed all of the artillery from the Yāngē, save for the MRRL in the center and a bow our new 75 mm turret (a variation of our existing artillery piece).

Additionally, we have expanded the deck to the sides, in order to augment as much as we can the space available, tripling the deck space in free surface. While this made the form of the ship very odd and quite unstable, external support pillars were added. While vulnerable to enemy attacks and pretty ugly, it is the only way available to field  as many helicopters as we can in the sea, in order to successfully defend ourselves from their motor boats. The ships are also provided with an inflatable ramp (low on our priority list) in order to deploy Qui-Chu´s as landing ships. We hope to achieve a capacity for eight assault helicopters or Qui-Chus.

The space taken by the old guns´ munitions has been filled with fuel and ammo for our crafts, in order for them to resupply at the ship when needed. The deck has been reinforced in order to resist enemy helicopter bombardment, and armed with Garin Bicycle guns in order to discourage them from getting too close. The pump system is optimized for firefighting.

We have reduced the density of compartments to make space for an inside hangar, accessible by lift, which should serve to store and repair some of the helicopters, even if a bit cramped.

As much as a dedicated Helicopter Carrier would be nice... Once again you crammed too much in a revision, Wizzy.
-Upgrade Engines
-Upgrade Gun from 75mm to 125mm
-Autoloader
-Refitting the Yange
It's too much!

Piāofú de niǎo qīxī Helicopter Tender
A straight forward modification of our Yange destroyer. The 6 guns at the rear of the ship have been removed to make room for a small helicopter flight deck and a small hangar. The deck can launch or land one Kèzhì at a time and the hangar can store a small handful. The storage space under the turrets is converted to hold fuel and ammo for the helis.

While we're working on the Yange lets upgun its cannons to our 75mm Qingsuan. For both the tender and destroyer versions. Should be doable, the current cannons are too small for their turrets.

Hard Difficulty: 2

The Piāofú de niǎo qīxī Helicopter Tender is a Yange citadel destroyer with the back deck chopped flat and most of the hull hastily re-configured to allow for a helicopter servicing bay.  The Piaofu can hold two helicopters at one time - one on the landing pad, and another stowed in the service bay.  Launching both requires the first to lift off, then the second to be moved to the landing pad before being unpacked and readied for take-off.  Most of the AA stations are kept, but due to weight, balance, and space concerns, only the front twin 50 mm turret is kept.  The removal of most of the guns and some of the armor has dropped the Ore cost, but the helicopter servicing equipment bumps the Oil cost.  6 Ore, 4 Oil, 1 Cobalt.

Nogs have naval advantage in Fjords this turn. We won't advance.
Mountains are winter. We will not advance there.
Jungle is new territory, but I suspect we will win due to our infantry advantage. Lets at least get a report to see how it goes.
We have aerial superiorty at sea now. Lets push sea.
Sending our heli pilot hero to sea aboard one of our new tenders seems obvious.

We would need to be more prepared to hit the Jungle, which has naval superiority, like the Fjords. Still, in the Fjords, our men can at least use the Qui-Chus for their artillery value.
