I imagine she's much more confident in her ability to deal with things now.

No training montage I suppose, which some people thought might happen.

Freakishly large hands, though.

Seems like Abbadon was trying to make them more foreground to the rest of her body, as if she's stretching towards the viewer. The other two panels look fine though.

Physically or emotionally? :P
But in all seriousness, I do believe that Cio and co would've done a ton of mindfulness too, since it'll be glaringly weird if nothing changed with their attitude in...a whole year.
I also wonder how her Earth life went. Time is the same here to Throne right?

In media res, perhaps? We're going to see that as it depicts changes and learned behaviors as the story goes I bet.

Because I really REALLY want to see that training. There should obviously be mental training as both Cio and Ms. Awesome Angel know the rest of the demiurges a ton more.

Huh. Comments on that page seems surprised that the time skip was a whole year, while I was prepared for a considerably longer time skip, considering that most major characters are immortal.

The protagonist (uncertain at this point whether to consider Zaid an antagonist or protagonist) and main character however, isn't.

Seems like time moves at the same rate everywhere, though distance in the void has little meaning as you can walk a thousand miles in one step if you wanted to. It's just that on Throne, the Sun is frozen in place (due to some divine mechanism breaking, though you'd think a divine mechanism wouldn't break....), so, it's a little harder to tell the passage of time.

The time skip does seem unexpected, but hopefully there's some in media res going on, and also buff allison is hawt, and generally I have faith in Abaddon to make me totally eve forget about timeskips with the inevitable badassery of KSBD

I guess Abaddon kind of got sick of Allison stumbling her way through the war too.

Honestly tho, how the heck does Abaddon keep coming up with such interesting and intense imagery??? And so quickly too... I mean every panel is a visual treat when it comes to buildings and environments and outfits.

The face in the wall is similar to one in done by a Franco Belgian comic dude that he mentioned a bit ago on Twitter, so that's probably where he got the idea. The rest of the image, aside from the race of that dude squatting by the vending machine, could be any dingy alleyway in southeast Asia. I don't think his creativity is actually beyond normal levels (except, perhaps, in the professional consistency with which he applies it - it's beyond the wherewithal of an amateur to always sit down and go "what should the influences for this scene be") so much as  is his skills of implementation. This latest contrast between Solomon David's home and central Throne really emphasizes his solid grasp of palette, especially.

Knowing where to draw inspirations from and to put things together cohesively is much more creative than spouting original but random nonsense.
