Out of all the folks, I do agree with this one comment...

I know this is all super tense and serious but all I can think is “I WANT KITTY DEMON TO LIVE! WHERE IS KITTY DEMON?! I don’t see him and he didn’t get shot in the head and his kitty is RIGHT THERE!

In a re-read, seems like he's the only guy (also a pale/white mask), that isn't a jerk. Or at least shown tendencies or behaviors to be a jerk.

And the comments are spot-on again.

There was also that mechanic specialist, but he got even less screentime than the cat themed thief/lockpicker.

I wonder if White Chain caught him, she's certainly in a position to grab him. Also, I wonder if the fall will even kill him, after all, Cio survived collapsing rubble and it took silver bullets to kill the other three devils.

Reminder that cat master is a murderer-for-hire, and very good at that job. On the very page in which he's introduced, the first thing we see in the same panel as his are a pair of human corpses in a blood-spattered alleyway.
Pale devils don't talk, so it would be hard for him to be a jerk. That doesn't make him a good person.

The shot hits the mast (which is on the centerline) with Cio ducking to the starboard side. Afterwards Cio is again standing on the port side (pretty much where she was before), and Oscar seems to have moved to that side as well (hard to tell. Maybe he's on the centerline).

I once saw Popeye get surrounded by battleships and while moving in a straight line punch them all into a pile of sardine cans or something, I got no problem with Oscar doing a bit of gun-fu bullet curving.

Yeah, you're right. I could maybe see it if the panel showing the shot was mirrored, and write it off as Cio moving off-screen, but as-is it looks like she would've had to have jumped over to the starboard side for just that panel. Oscar also seems to have moved from his spot at starboard in front of the aftcastle toward port (so they're both at port) between missing Cio and getting the Bruce Lee treatment, although that might just be him moving off-screen again.
