I remember something the author wrote (no idea WHERE, mind you), in which they discussed the ideas behind Kill Six Billion Demons.  And they talked about how the original concept for angels and devils was trying to imagine what a being of chaos and order would be, and one of the original concepts for the story was imagining an angel that was somewhat chaotic and a devil who was somewhat ordered.  Presumably that's where Cio and 82 come in.

It seems to me like 01 also is a devil that's acting a little less chaotic.  She's basically a cop/governor who attempts to impose rules on others.  And who tries to keep Mammon's inner realm in a sort of stasis.  Whereas the average demon seems to be a criminal who tries to upset and destroy the established order.  Hero of another story I guess.

Pretty sure 01 isn't a demon though. She just looks like a mortal who got lucky/skilled enough to get in tight with grand mac daddy mormon.

New comic is up, and it sounds like Nadia/Mottom is a demiurge with nothing left to lose, or almost nothing left to lose. She still has her personal fleet of skyships though.
