There is some damage showing on a few of the buildings already, so perhaps they will fall but just haven't quite yet.

Don't forget that plants are somehow able to grow in there, so, theres definetly some suspension of disbelief going on.

It does look like the flood is just starting to reach those buildings and who's to say they haven't been wrenched from their foundations already.

I think it's more that Abbadon wanted this particular volume to end as it started, emphasizing the futility of what transpired. This isn't suitable to every book in the series.

I truly, sincerely, hope that this gets resolved quickly, there is nothing more insipid and insulting than drama of this kind.  I do think that this needs to be hashed out, but I can't put up with wishy-washy shojo trash plots.
