This wouldn't have happened if Allison had any forethought But she was focused on POWER and I SUCK BEING WEAK and all that. But at least it hit her right AFTER she accepted that deal.

Ah, but she was weak and she needed to learn that weakness was a natural thing. But she didn't learn that, and her other half decided to cut off all that truly mattered without the rest of her! At any rate, it will be interesting to find out what happens next. Especially once since all signs point to her being a bit ah... Dead.

Yep! That's the exact book that got thrown away, and...then a timeskip happened so we don't know what happened in between grumpy Cio being heartbroken and forced to do things against her actual growth and personality, and Allison being Queen of Bad Decisions At The Moment.

So hooray for Ingslvd's other knight buddy book head.

I love how she was reaching for that bag in the previous page. And I extra-love how people noticed that the drawn hands were mixed up >_> but the last panel has her stabbing Allison's LEFT side but the hand holding the sword was the Cio's left hand.

...Wait that means Cio killed whoever that knight was, because that book was their head.
I think.

I don't know the anatomy of literal book heads. There should be lots of redundant space for safety given you can write...in it. Also I just want to hug Cio now because her crying is an extremely good point of character.

Edoot: Ooooo, I like how Cio looks more of herself in the last panel compared to all those jointed limbs in the previous ones! Yay progression!

And the spikyness on her limbs shrinks as well. She still has the Yabalchoath style earrings though, but I don't know if that's just a fashion choice or whether the earrings really do change with the former ebon persona leaking through.

The earrings were from the thief outfit and I really love how his art has improved over the years. That panel with Cio crying is really amazingly well done, been a hell of a ride.
