I have never had this with any DF build. I did scan the download before extracting (do that with every download no matter how trusted), which came up clean.

But when I tried running DF.exe, Avast intercepted it and ran it in lockdown mode, then terminated it and gave me a message that it could contain harmful content, and said it was sent to Avast labs, and I would be contacted later with the results.

Toady's bitcoin miner longcon finally reaches the light of day. He's already laughing on a flight out to Thailand, being served cocaine on stripper-supermodel flight stewardesses.

It seems like there's always one report about every new DF or DFhack. I'm suspicious some anti-virus nerd has slipped in a routine to make sure he doesn't miss an update!  :D :D :D

See, that's creepy, sending off a copy without permission from the usedr.

Sadly, the head doctor MoonstoneFlower became depressed.  I am not sure if she will be able to recover.

Avast has tested the file and sent a message it's safe.

Avast lost me when they started doing the automatic email scan.  For most home use, EMET + Security Essentials is the way to go.  If you use Firefox, then uBlock Origin is another must have.
