Eggy gets those feet moving and that body shaking and manages to daze the monster with your unusual movements. However the big beast seems to snap out of it and gain stun immunity! Ashe throws out the Ancient Jerky and the heart snatches it up. It seems more likely to join your team if defeated! Toad shoots out poison powder, poisoning the giant heart thing.

The first ghost rages against his bonds and manages to slither out of them, though this takes almost the entirety of the combat phase. The second ghost curses beanalk! A terrible sense of doom, and a creaeping weight sink into beanalk! Mroon then poisons the second ghost with its poison powder. You can see flecks of the dust floating, suspended, in its ectoplasm. Beanalk takles the second ghost and only manages to do three damage! Both ghosts take 3 poison damage.

Tackle the previous Ghost creature again!, what does this curse do... hmmm probably is a 50% stat debuff, is that good information? Who knows !

Seeing as the Telltale is stun immune this turn, Eggy stops their magic dance and body slams the miniboss. Its body is squishy and gross and spatters of some gross liquidy goo spatter out of its hollow limbs. The creature takes 4 damage. It quickly returns the favor and strikes Eggy for 5 damage. Toad poisons the creature again, but it simply refreshes the duration. The monster takes 3 poison damage.

Each of the spooooky ghosts attack the cursed vegetable creature doing a total of 2 damage. Mushroom then attacks the most injured ghost, causing it to dissipate! Cursed and unhappy, beanalk staggers over to the enemy ghost and gives it a half-hearted bodyslam, but trips and falls into it, dealing 3 damage. Luckily, the poison finishes off the ghost and the curse is broken! Victory (and loot) is yours. Each of the ghosts dropped a ball of ectoplasm, its goopy and cold and unpleasant to touch, but maybe Gramps will know what to do with it? Seeing that the ghosts are gone, you can either go back for the others or continue deeper ahead. Then one of the ghosts reforms! You prepare to fight! But, it doesn't seem hostile anymore. The ghost wants to join your party! But you don't have any more masters to command it. Send the ghost home to Gramps or send one of your monster's home to Gramps?

Ah, I didn't 100% understand how the poison worked.
Since poisoning it again won't really help, Toad, use tackle!

Learning about how to poison and how to fight with your monsters is part of the excitement of learning to be a master. Today you've learned and grown closer to Toad. Eggy begins the round by tackling the monster, followed shortly after by a tackle from Toad. Collectively they do 7 damage. The monster returns their attack dealing another 5 damage, this time to Toad. The monster takes another 3 poison damage. It doesn't seem close to death, would you like to autobattle?

You move even deeper into the basement. Your new monster coos and boos with delightful spookinesss, phasing in and out of walls, happy to be part of the party. After a bit more walking you are assulted by a rat and a skeleton!
