Gods Battle: Turn 8: Grendabarian humans have a bad day (12/10)
« on: December 11, 2017, 04:32:19 pm »

I'm bored. Let's start a new game!
This is a god v god game, in which each player starts with 100 worshippers in an undeveloped world. They start at stone age technology, excepting the aspect their god represents. Your aspect will be randomly rolled from a massive list of words I have.
You cannot control your people except telling them to attack an enemy, but you can bestow boons upon them, relevant to your aspect.
You cannot directly attack enemy gods or populations. (No death spells, but spawning wild animals nearby is ok.)
You may make one action per turn, relevant to your aspect, and a single order to your people. The effectiveness of your action is based on a d6, per standard rtd rules.

Combat is pretty simple 2d(half of attacking population) - 1d(half of defending population) damage is dealt to the defending population, while 2d(half of defending population) - 1d(half of attacking population) damage is dealt to the attacking population. Both of the rolls can be modified by things like technology level, fortifications, and other things.

-snip- see new rules for science in the spoiler.
Turns are 20 years

FoU has some twisted role ideas. Screw second-guessing this mechanical garbage spaghetti, I'm basing everything on reads and visible daytime behaviour.

Would you like to play a game of Mafia? The subforum is always open to new players.

(1) You start forward with determination and certainty. You carry this determination with you right into the gaping crater that opens under your feet. You fall into a pit. The sounds of combat above dim, along with the light from the suns. In the quiet below, you hear some other noises instead.

My Forum game(s):
Hahaha, ya right

Any future games will be simpler in nature, I have a bad habit of biting off more than I can chew. Also hoping for more players in them.

I have Discord for my games now(not necessary to play, tho might be easier to contact me): https://discord.gg/DuaARAZ

The first god to enter the ring! Reverion, god of genetics. One hundred dwarves worship him inside their mountain home, making crude tools out of copper. Below the mountain on one side is massive plain, and on the other a forest. Humans mill around near the base.

Antangonten, the inverse god, is next. One hundred humans do not worship him (or do they?) and farm using crude stone tools on the plains, near a forest, shadowed by a mountain.

Oberon, god of beauty, (this was pure chance, I swear!) forms in a forest, along with 100 graceful elves. They make fine tools out of wood, that are about as strong as stone. A plain is nearby, upon which humans mill, and several elves have noticed movement upon the mountain.

Monkeylord the naked god, (This was just what it picked. No hard feelings?) and his hundred human followers, form around an oasis in the plain, around which there is a small dappled forest, perfect for going in the nude. They use crude stone tools when they need to, although they usually just pick fruit from the berry bushes and plentiful fruit trees.

Typhus and his followers form on the far side of the plain, with the oasis between them and the mountain. Typhus is the god of disconnect. His followers learned long ago not to make altars to him as they seem to... disconnect... from everything.

Gerbil is the god of rage. Most likely because his name absolutely positively does not fit his massive, terrifying body. He absolutely, totally, might not have an inferiority complex. Regardless, 100 dwarves worship him on the West side of the plains. Typhus is to their right, the oasis is in the middle, and the elves and other dwarves are to their left.

Grendabar, the strange god, forms on the East side of the plain. Opposite him is Gerbil on the far West, elves and dwarves to his right, the oasis to the middle, and Typhus on his left. His hundred human followers use crude stone tools.
You may now choose your appearance, and make your first action.
For those of you upset by your aspect, remember, I could have gone with aspects like "so", "I", and "fence". Just the luck of the draw.
The eras of technology are gotten off of wikipedia. Only some are relevant, so those are the ones I am using. Dwarves start in the chalcolithic era, all others start in the neolithic.

Strange, eh? Celtic rituals and druids, here I come...

Give my people a boon to druidic magic, in the form of using language to give people strange and unusual curses. The effectiveness of these curses depend on how long they have spent in the wilderness living in strange ways.

Spoiler: OOC (click to show/hide)
I order my people to construct some standing stines to honour me. Politely.

Should I make a discord so you guys can shout at me when I don't update? I use discord a lot more than bay12 for randomly browsing stuff.

appearence : writhing black mass of randomly appearing tentacles, mouths and glowing yellow eyes.

Give my people boon of spiritual disconnection, so they can travel around with their mind.

Have them make sanity defying clay statuettes of me
