Today was...frankly terrible. It started off quite well and peaceful, almost as a veil covering up what would happen later in the day. I woke up early in the morning in my hotel room, ate a good breakfast, and then was well on my way to go to the tour I signed up to join and see the exotic wildlife of the Amazon. We drove for about two hours, maybe three, its been hard tracking time since my damn watch broke three days ago. Anyway, after those two or three hours of driving, we stopped at a small village and we got to walking about outside it. I saw a decent amount of animals on the tour, some of the animals I saw where a Harpy Eagle, a Jesus Lizard, a few Kinkajou, and even a Jaguar. But mid way through the tour, things took a turn for the worse. We heard strange noises from above, and some not so strange noises that sounded like what happens when a distribution transformer has a bad accident with a squirrel. Looking up, we couldn't really see a thing and worriedly, we started heading back and moments later everyone was shocked when a wing of some kind of jet fighter crashed right behind us. It didn't have any markings I would recognize, though, I guess now days jets dont have roundels on their wings, that or I just missed it. Anyway, we quickly headed back to the one village we where at and I am not lying when I say this, there was a bloody flying saucer just casually floating down and landing. And shortly after, some sort of creature that kinda looked like the classical grey but bony and with teeth came out of the thing and with it a bunch of strange drones, at least I think they where drones. They flew around everywhere and seemed to zap people to knock them out so the aliens could just pick 'em up and just throw them in their little flying saucer. All of my tour was gotten by these drones, including me. The pain was unbearable, but I was still awake. I could hear one of those aliens walking up behind me and that's when I heard a crack of sound, impact with something fleshy, and the sound of something collapsing behind me. I didn't know what to do, so for a bit, I stayed still as I tried to gather my bearings and my ability to book it. And, after a few minutes, I forced myself to my feet and ran. As I did so, I saw a flash of green light kill a few people who seemed to be armed but I didn't care, I just needed to get out of here. I collapsed shortly after due to pain. But it was far enough away for me not to be caught by the aliens, it seemed. And after lying on the ground for a good hour or so, I got up, and carefully looked into the village. The saucer was gone, the aliens where gone, and the people where gone. I got into the small car that the tour guide once drove, and just went as fast as I could to get back to the city. Then, I returned to my room where I started writing this very passage into my journal. I think I'm going to move my flight to Australia from next month to as soon as bloody possible, as to not deal with that, whatever that was, again...Besides, I learned as much as I needed here for my work.
Probably too long, but I don't care.
