Baranwolf: Both the farmers and the weaponthanes are satisfied
Branbrig: I think a feast is in order...
Ferena: No one is qualified to act as a Healer on the ring. A worshipper of Chalana Arroy lets us perform healing rituals.
Derik: With the external threats we face, (wot?) it would be prudent to reorganize as a war clan.
Yorsar: A good leader must be sure to heed the voice of the people.
Orlgandi: The more gods represented on the clan ring, the better. Dude, everyone worships a different god here, what do you want exactly?
Varmand: I can't add to what's been said.
Since we seem to be in a decently stable condition I'm going to sacrifice about 15 goods to Issaries so we can get his craft blessings (trade=craft I think.)
We get spare grain, which isn't the worst, but could definitely be better.
And this is why we're playing this game. Also, here you can also see the benefit of a diverse clan ring as we've got two extra options to deal with zombie dad here.
Baranwolf: Normally squabbles within a bloodline are not the business of the clan ring. This is not a normal case.
Branbrig: The dead are resolute, but stupid.
Ferena: Killing someone who is already dead can be difficult.
Derik: In Nallinda's Saga, a priestess lays a dead cousin back to rest.
Yorsar: Sometimes the dead bear tidings. But this one just wants pie.
Orlgandi: What did we do wrong in the funeral rites?
Varmand: Undead! Bring me my sword! (not a paraphrase)
So going through the choices, I think sacrificing to our ancestors is the best idea. I think the other options are a bit too unpredictable (Varmand might say he's able to kill him, but ancestors are not something to be trifled with,) and just telling them to deal with it is pretty awful. Let's see how it goes.
We lost one magic but made everyone happy, so I think that wasn't that bad of a resolution.
We build a shrine to Issaries and enter earth season. I'm going to try sacrificing again to get a better blessing from him.
Ten goods spent and we got silvertongue which seems a lot better then spare grain. We shouldn't be trading for food unless we are literally starving.
I send a expedition to trundle about our tula for cool stuff.
And somehow we get attacked by Tusk Riders and lose a dude.
Baranwolf: Thadart was very skilled with weapons. Even though he was not a weaponthane, we should honor him as one.
Branbrig: King Vingkot disappeared many times, and those of weak confidence thought him slain. But each time he came back, hungry and wanting his dinner, having miraculously escaped death.
Ferena: We should sacrifice in Thadart's honor.
Derik: By Elmal's fiery locks we must find him!
Yorsar: A poem has more power to stir the heart than an ordinary speech, or even a generous gift.
Orlgandi: We should give gifts to Thadart's relatives.
Varmand: If only we knew the location of the Tusk Rider lair - then we could courageously risk our lives to recover Thadart's bones!
I'll offer a little bit of a spoiler here and say this event leads to one of my favorite sub-plots in the game so I'm not going to choose this for you guys. Don't worry about ruining a good storyline, there's more then enough other ones for us to see if this one gets derailed.
