Shamelessly Stolen: Titans of Creation (IC)
« on: December 07, 2017, 02:44:03 am »

OOC

From the void did it appear, a new universe of shape and form. Soon, its first inhabitants appeared in their majesty and horror. The Titans.

In the beginning, the world was a hot molten rock. It had a single barren moon and orbited a small star.

((Do actions I specified as starting actions.))

Nyansius looks at the planet and decides that it shouldn't go without kittens. He creates the continent Nyanyam and places catnip fields on it.
He creates the Cat's Back Mountain to create a barrier for possible other lifeforms. He then places a statue that creates cats until tye cat count reaches 100000. Then he creates Catsbane dogs to prevent overpopulation.

Forknor looked at the barren world. It needed something. Scratching his metallic chin, he came up with ideas.

Create a new continent(100pts)
The continent of Izoa.
Create a type of life(50pts)
Metal Scorpions, Fast creatures with the shape of the scorpion but their sting is instead a grasper.
Create an elder race(150pts)

Chronos watched the others going about their works. He however did not participate in the current development of the universe. Not yet. The time was not right.

Heptas knew that water was the root of most life, and forged the world with a device to ensure it would have the needed water to sustain life.

100+15 - Artifact/Anomaly: The Undersea Obelisk: This magical obelisk of blue stone is placed in a basin, and exudes large amounts of water until the planet it is placed on is covered in an ocean. It will then go dormant until the ocean is depleted, at which point it repeats the process.

After the Undersea Obelisk completes its purpose:

100: Continent: Lentath: A massive flat continent formed of a huge aggregation of shield volcanoes.
25: Region: Fatath: The first of three island chains created around Lentath.
25: Region: Natath: The second of three island chains created around Lentath.
25: Region: Batath: The third of three island chains created around Lentath.

From the molten earth, three continents arose.

By the paws of Nyansius, the continent of Nyanyam was forged. A land divided by the Cat's Back Mountain range, it was the cradle of the world's first forms of life, all suitably cat-based. Catnip, herbaceous shrubs, soon grows upon the volcanic soils of the continent. This is shortly followed by the appearance of the Kitten's Obelisk, leading to a sudden population of infant Felines. Being creatures dependent on their nonexistent mothers' milk, their short lives would likely be spent starving and mewling, were it not for the copious amounts of catnip that ensured that their lives were spent in pure ecstasy. Their corpses in turn fertilise the soil, which aids in the further spread of catnip around the world. Of course, the Catsbane Dogs that populate the verdant plains of Nyanyaan also have a hand in controlling the kitten population, though with the constant output of kittens from the Obelisk. Which is all for the better, as the sedating effect of catnip has ensured that few dogs are able to be effective hunters.

The continent of Nyanyam is split into three main regions. To the west is Felus, the land in which the Kitten's Obelisk is founded. Here, the majority of the continent's life is found. Splitting the continent are the Cat's Back Mountain Range, which is home to hardier varieties of Catnip and omnivorous Catsbane Dogs. The eastern lands of Ocelotonia are sparse with life, save for catnip and a Dogs.

The magma seas of the world are cooled and covered by the water seas of the Undersea Obelisk. Global temperatures greatly cool and the amount of oxygen and hydrogen in the world increase tremendously, affecting the atmosphere.

To the south of Nyansius, the desert lands of Izoa were formed. Covered in sand, thousands of metal varieties are found here in abundance. Upon it, various metal Scorpions are brought into being and fill all sorts of ecological niches. Above all these species however are the Metal Ones, humanoids made nominally of metal. Travelling as families or small clans, the Metal Ones feed on both the natural metal deposits of the world as well as the various types of scorpions of Izoa. As they soon discover, the metal they feed on directly change their own composition, with whole social systems being developed based off metal consumption. Many Metal Ones have also discovered how malleable their bodies are, some simply adding small decorations to their bodies, or outright converting their bodies to non-humanoid forms. Scorpion-like modifications are a popular choice.

Izoa is composed of the Al-Jazir to the south and Al-Wadij to the north. While Al-Jazir is covered with sand and the majority of the continent's life, Al-Wadij maintains surprisingly fertile soil, but is otherwise somewhat deterring to metalloid life due to higher humidity.

The Law of Opposition comes into existence. All beings, great and small, are suddenly pitted into eternal combat against a foe of relatively equal power. While not immediate, the Law's effect soon comes into affect from the smallest microbe to the greatest scorpion. The denizens of Nyansius are mostly unaffected. Catnip lacks the adaptations to engage their rivals and kittens are too shortlived to meaningfully fight. Only the Dogs, sedate as they are, are able to fully feel the effects of the Law. Mainly, this takes the form of intra/inter competition between individuals or packs with blood rarely being spilled. On Izoa, life mainly continues as before, with competition continuing various species. For the Metal Ones, the Law forces the development of warfare and even the idea that bodies can be morphed into weapons. This predictably leads to a great deal of inter-clan warfare.

The continent of Lentath rises from the seas, a flat plain of shield volcanoes. It is surrounded by the archipelagos of Fatath, Natath, and Batath.

(200) Nyansius looks in horror at the dead kittens and decides that at least some must be saved. He creates the Law Of Kittens. The law ensures that for every animal or animal-like but otherwise inorganic creature in the world,
A Feeder Cat will appear. They can feed the kittens with milk to extend their survival.

Heptas introduced a new artifact, and a new entity to the world.

125: Immortal Supernatural Entity: The Chronicler. The Chronicler is a bull-headed man with purple blood. He possesses the following properties:
-Shapeshifting: The Chronicler can take the form of any mortal creature it bites in its true form for up to 10 hours. The Chronicler's blood will still be purple no matter what form he takes.
-Truth Detection: The Chronicler can detect when an intelligent being tells a lie.
-Drive of Inquisitiveness: The Chronicler wishes to know who, what, when, where, why, how... for everything.
-Drive of Recording: The Chronicler does not have a perfect memory, so he wishes to record everything he learns in his Book of Endless Pages.
-Drive of Aiding Ambition: The Chronicler wishes to use the knowledge he records in his Book of Endless Pages to assist those with extreme ambition, whether it be for good or for evil.

The Chronicler will be placed on the continent of Nyanyam. The Chronicler will be granted the Book of Endless Pages.

75: Artifact: the Book of Endless Pages. The Book of Endless Pages is a gold-colored tome. It possesses the following properties:
-Endless Pages: the Book has an infinite number of blank pages, contained via use of space-warping magic.
-Automatic Table of Contents: the Book has a table of contents at its start that automatically adjusts to describe what is contained within the book's pages. Tapping an entry will cause the book to turn to that entry.
-Shapeshifting: the Book can be magically folded by its owner into an amulet, and back.
-Durability: the Book is far more durable than an ordinary book would be, though not indestructible.
-Ownership: the Book knows when it has been stolen and will blur the text within until it is returned to its owner... unless its owner dies.
-Inscription: the Book comes with a pen with endless ink, which can be stored inside the Book no matter what form it takes.

Grion saw, and acted.

For 200 points, the First Law of Ambiguity forms. "No things shall be divided, for even the independent will be united. All life, from the lowliest plants even unto the great Titanspawn, shall be of the same fabric; and they shall freely mix, and adopt new forms which are not of the one kind, yet neither wholly of the other; Lo, even those the world has set into emnity shall find that hate and love are of a piece, and what is joined by one may shade into the other."

Grion rests.

Torhun the Primal gazes upon the nascent world, and witnessing the acts of his peers, deems the world thus unworthy of his touch.

Torhun the Primal bides his time.
