”oh hi! Didn’t see you there! My name is... uh... Gus. Yeah. It’s Gus. Also, I am afraid of death, thanks for asking. Got any idea what we do on this planet? I was just in the fields, planting some potatoes, when BOOOM! I was suddenly falling... sideways? It was weird. Anyway, you know how I can get home? So... uh... what’s your name? And are you afraid of death? woah! Hey, uh, Aaron? What are you doing here?”
Don’t make any move to antagonize her. Maintain a bewildered expression.

Cat is burrowing through the earth to set up a base at the core.

Daphne looked up to give Aaron a bored expression. At the very least, it's what she could do to restrain herself from cowering at his fearsome countenance. "You're ruining my fun, Blaze Man. You trifle with who you don't fully understand.

With a smug smile, she shrugged before turning back to Gus. "It's too bad for you, mortal! On this world, we fight and the strongest wins. Perhaps you should go jump off a cliff or something. It's a much more humane fate for you."

Saying that, Daphne will 'lucidly' dream up several icicles in the air that will impale Aaron and Gus.

(4+2=6) v [(4+4) or (4+4) = 8], (5)

Icicles are shot. Quite quickly, in fact. They would have hit the farmer.
If they hadn’t gotten caught up in Aaron’s elemental maelstrom, that is.
As it stands, Aaron now has a small tornado of icicles mixed in with the fire, lightning, snow, and dust that he always has swirling around him.

He doesn’t appear to be terribly pleased with the attack.

I’m giving you the benefit of the doubt and saying that your natural roll modifier is 3.

Are you saying that to me? Or to Aaron?

”oh god! It’s witchcraft!” I’m sorry I doubted you lord Aaron!

To Elventide, actually. Aaron’s roll mod is 4. Yours is 0 for now, because you’re a level 1 peasant.

Aaron’s level... 13, I think? Or maybe it was 12. I mean, back in Undead Hunt that’s now kinda irrelevant because he ascended to godhood, but over here he’s only as powerful as he was before that happened. Which is still ungodly strong, just not to the point of divinity.

((My natural roll modifier is 3? What sort of dice rules and stats are we're playing around with here?))

I don't even know. I'm basically making stuff up as I go. The only things I know concretely is that Aaron has a +4 and inflicts a -1 on opponents. Since you're powerful, I just decided that you probably had a relatively high natural modifier, but since you're not built for luck bullshittery, I didn't put it as high as Aaron's. Ergo, 3, which becomes 2 when rolling against Aaron.

((I see... well, as I just totally made up just now always say, luck is for the desperate! ;P))

"You seemed to be quite experienced in combat, Blaze-Man," Daphne said before giving him a mischievous smile. "What is it about Gus that you would want to protect him? He's a stranger you haven't even met!"

I was born on a dying world to protect those that remained, especially those who could not protect themselves.
What is it about him that you are so intent on killing him? He’s a stranger you haven’t even met.

Grinning malevolently, Daphne simply shrugged. "Kill him?" she asked. "I am merely welcoming him to this dismal place, a place where the strong devour the weak. Besides, I'm just bored anyway."

Thinking for a moment, Daphne continued, "However, that psychic cat is worse than even me. I should know, I'd fought it ever since I got here. Sure I may be, how do you say it, 'sociopathic'? However, at least I ensures that my opponents are killed as quickly and painlessly as possible. That very evil cat; however, not only wants to kill people brutally but destroy their world as well. You already seen just what amount of devastation it causes. It's clear that once it's finished with us, it will move on to other worlds and do the same to them. That cat is omnicidal, which is worse than even I can stomach."

Pausing, Daphne finally asked, "Would you like to team up to take down that cat?"
