I've been thinking about how the planes might be, and i had an interesting thought.

At one point, the GM describes the plane of water an air as, "not being uniform. The plane of water might have bubbles of air, and there might be islands in the plane of air." (or something like that.) I think the plane of earth is likely to just be earth, with the "pockets" being caves of different types. The more i think about it, the more likely i think that it's probably true. If every plane had a surface, air would be weighted as far more important to develop than anything else. Flying would be super OP, because you could just fly over the oceans or ground or whatever is down there. In terms of balance, air will probably either be much harder to develop, or not all planes will have a "sky".
I suspect that Earth may not actually have a sky, like an endless cave network. I have no idea what Fire will be like, but we have Imps, so I'm not too worried. Basically, I think that there may not be an actual surface in any plane except the prime material. We know that the Unformed Plane has a surface, but it's JUST a surface and gates. The ethereal is more chaotic, I don't know much else.

Huh... Well, the lich has spells, the imps have enchantment... As for powers... Well I think that the impish fire affinity could be a gateway into powers, it is sort of not really doing anything as it is. I suppose "moving around while dead" doesn't count as a power?

So, I think that they picked the Angel and are modifying the cherubs, but the cherubs turned out more expensive than they want. If anyone has Mafia experience or is good at reading stuff, feel free to look it over on Discord, or I can PM you the log. This is based on me reading the Discord and inferring. I did not post the log because someone was drunk and I did not want to expose them.

EDIT: Now I doubt my own reading of the chat.

Well, we need at least 1 of everything so we can figure out how the rolls went.

That gives us an exceptionally strong core force, with some auxiliaries to allow the first line of spear casters to get off a volley before engaging. The rest of the army can then volley fireballs into the flank before engaging in melee themselves. The unarmed imps are just an advance that can be armed next time. This also tests out all our new equipment so we can see what the rolls were.

I am also in this boat. Also, between magical portal transportation and shadecrystal armor, what do you think we should build next?

Other options include imp/demon vats.

I feel that both current plans fail to make use of significant part of our resources. The lich is an obvious absence in Sanchez but it also lacks our shiny new spears. Alpha I feel is overdependent on spears and should have some dedicated archers. That said, our archers don't have much rate-of-fire... but still, I am going to try my own hand at one with more of a unit distinction...
