Weapon Trap Crash bug--fixed yet?
« on: November 25, 2017, 05:54:22 pm »

so in one of the last versions there was a bug where if you used weapon traps, and a weapon in the trap wore out, it would crash the game. Has this been fixed yet? I've been wanting to use weapon traps to guard my approach, but I haven't dared for a while. I want insta-gib instead of insta-cage.

P.S. If you don't get this note, let me know and I'll write you another.
It's amazing how dwarves can make a stack of bones completely waterproof and magmaproof.
It's amazing how they can make an entire floodgate out of the bones of 2 cats.

To be fair just because a developer to a game says a bug is fixed does not mean it is.

According to reports, a ballista arrow shattering on impact could also crash the game due to the same bug. I'm not sure if the "impact" also required the arrow to be stuck in the victim at the time.

I dont think ballista arrows "stick" to people. But I hope the origin of the crash was the same. Like, a stuck object without reference or something.

Findulidas is right, someone should do some !!SCIENCE!! and experiment with it to be sure that it is fixed. I remember "fixing" the same bug many times over and over just to notice that it re-appeared under different conditions :).
