Future inquiries has led us to seeing that the Corsair Destroyer is the most effective naval ship that they can offer

Quote from: Corsair Destroyer
Corsair Destroyer: [L] [Expensive] The Corsair is a moderate sized ship with light (for a ship) steel hull armor. It has a light cannon armament of two hydraulic-equipped Nightwind cannons and four Can Shredders. However, its main armament is its Shark Torpedo launchers (it has a couple on each side) and newly-invented Seahorse mines, which use the same warheads as Shark torpedoes but rest on the sea surface, detonating on cpntact with ships. It is powered by steam turbines and easily outpaces battleships like the Kalmar, Kraken and Kurokami. [4 ore 3 Oil]

It isn't synthetic metal, its a way to manipulate metal that could be used for creating new kinds of armor, 3d-printerish manufacturing, possibly dipping tanks to make "iron soldiers" and for now speed up mining. It should mesh well with strip mining later, but strip mining doesn't give us new tech to play with. I figure mad science is usually the better option in a mad arms race.

I'll just randomly choose either the Sierra or Corsair if there isn't a consensus in a few hours.

You should really look to the wilderness for your stealth ideas, it has been doing it much longer than you have after all. Take squids for example, that ink trick works pretty well, and in water too! So you just sneak into the dam upsteam, dump several megatons of distressed squid into it, then break the dam. Boom, you suddenly have enough water-proof stealth for a whole city!

Import: Corsair Destroyer

The first Corsairs arrive in fine condition. An arrangement is organized to import just enough of the component weapons and other designs used in the ship - like Can Shredders - though we can't use them for any other purpose. They're Very Expensive given our current resources available for manufacturing.

CryoStat Tanks

A massive three-meter tall tank filled with liquid oxygen and an accompanying gas cooler, This system is the cutting edge of regeneration and even augmentation technology of the Aratam Nation.
A wounded soldier can be placed in the tank, and a special concoction of over half a dozen pharmaceuticals and otherwise exotic chemicals courtesy of the Refinery, A soldier can be brought from the brink of death in mere days to a full and robust health, and that same soldier can even be brought  beyond their current condition with the application of any type of chemical concoctions that  can be designed if spare time is brought. The Patient is given an IV of specialized Hydrogen-based coolants and then thrown into the oxygen fluid. They are immediately put into a comatose/Stasis type solution. They will immediately face long and short-term damage without the accompanying Pharma Chems being injected into the system to regenerate/augment the individual. Once the treatment has finished, they are dumped out and immediately thrown into a 40 C Furnace. The Coolants are slowly taken out by the Renal system and the individual wakes up around twelve hours later.  Although there are certain problems that would have to be corrected before the Cryo tank treatment (Bone Fractures, a pierced lung, and certain types of cancers in optimal conditions), This system can correct almost any wound or condition that is not hereditary in nature in its current designed standpoint. It is also designed with the intention of acting as a method towards the creation of meta or post-human individuals.
Hard  (4+4)-1 = 7: Superior Craftsmanship

Our brilliant engineers have done it again!
The CryoStat tank is a wonder of nature. A gigantic piece of machinery, it incorporates dozen of individual chemical tanks with its own mixing processes and everything else needed. A trained technician monitors the process and operates the machinery in order to ensure the patient doesn't, well, die. Multiple other technicians are needed for other steps in the process. The tank itself is three meters tall, though the accompanying machinery makes it take up roughly 36 square meters of space. The tank takes the appearance of almost a coffin. A small vertical slit in the middle allows for viewing of the subject. Dozens of pipes connect it to the other machinery required for operation. Operating tables lie close by for the preparation of subjects.

The chemical bath subjects are submerged in has a numbing effect on the entire body - effectively putting them and all their inner processes into "stasis", which coincidentally gives the CryoStat time to do its work as many wounds are "paused" by the solution as well. Dozens of injection sites are put into place by technicians prior to submerging, and these inject a concoction of healing drugs that work wonders in conjunction with the numbing exterior solution. Once the subject is taken out of the solution, they're put in a specialized machine to quickly aid in recovery from the side effects of all the drugs.

Given time, this does wonders. Though it does take time. A day inside the tank can stabilize minor yet life-threatening injuries, letting our doctors take care of the rest. A week and nearly all critical injuries are stabilized. A month and the scars start disappearing and the person's health becomes the envy of doctors everywhere. A year, and limbs finish regrowing. Top government officials are expressing interest in using the CryoStat for "rejuvenation treatments." We can only imagine how long someone making liberal use of the CryoStat can live for.

While amazing, the CryoStat is of course nowhere near practical for combat use. It presents a serious drain on our rare chemical stockpile. It's very large and complicated to build - one human error in the creation of the CryoStat, and we can end up mismixing chemicals and straight-up killing anyone who goes inside; only extremely trained engineers are authorized to install CryoStats.
Currently, CryoStats cost 4 Rare Chemicals and are Complex. They're wonder-machines, but as they are, only a few sites in Aratam have any CryoStats at all. And those are largely used for experimentation, rejuvenation treatments, and the treatment of VIPs.

Spoiler: Designs (click to show/hide)

The Revision Phase of 1956 has begun. You may also vote for another Cannalan design to import. The import will arrive at the end of 1956, and will not be considered valid as a component for this year's revision.

Wow. I intended this thing to bring soldiers back to life, but I guess immortal politicans work.

Revision: Remodeling time.
We rebuild the Biological Manipulation center, with a side focus of producing dedicated chemical infrastructure for the CryoStat Tanks.

It's not so bad, the CryoStat Tanks gave me a fun idea. Who wants to go for supersoldiers early?

Revision: "Goldeneye" CryoStat Spice Therapy Enhanced Combatants
New research has shown that the reason Compound 42b, hereafter "Spice", never worked properly on its users was an overheating of the brain as it became able to think faster and faster, within minutes causing symptoms of heatstroke and denaturing the Spice, reducing it to a poison infesting the brain of the unfortunate victim. Rather than diluting the Spice and minimizing the damage, as in our Combat Drug: "Fury" project, it is now possible to prevent all overheating and associated brain trauma by administering the Spice to a subject safely ensconced within the cold embrace of a CryoStat Tank. While it would not be safe to continue administering Spice after the subject has been removed from the CryoStat Tank, this is hypothesized to be unnecessary, as while in the tank, the subject's brain will fully integrate the Spice, and, having survived the transformation safely, will now operate so efficiently that there will be no risk of spontaneous overheating, although prolonged exposure to other sources of heat may remain a risk. We anticipate that, if successful, the subjects' irises will take on a much clearer yellow than that of the original users of Spice, and that this yellow will not fade over time.

I think we should make the Cryostatic Tanks either cheaper, faster, or it can do bulk amounts of personnel. Super soldiers are nice, but soldiers that live to become veterans are veterans. Super soldiers can wait until we have the biological devision ready to go. I've posted some ideas on furhter improving the cryotank below.

Cheaper- Utilizing Biological compounds from the humble banana synthesized by the biological division to decrease the amount of rare Petro/Exotic Chemical Reagents required to run the machine- This means that more of the machines can be built until either chemicals, expert workers, or somehow ore becomes an issue.
Exchange: Synthesize rare chemicals using Petrochemical refining. Simple, but risky.
Faster: Using the humble Grape Fruit, we can massively increase the speed of the machine, again using biological compounds to speed the process up rather then make it cheaper to do overall.
Bulk: Tanks that allow Technicians to work on more then one person at a time. Group tanks. fun tanks. Tanks for the whole army.

A design for a different time.
Oxy-Dex & Stasis Bag: The first object, a hyper efficient chemical mixture designed to act in place of the cardiovascular system, when the lungs are failing to oxygenate the blood, this is the first step for a stasis bag emplacement. This fist sized ampule of fluid will extend the amount of time a soldier has to be treated of wounds before brain death. The second object is a complex bag designed to shrink rap around a person, and then be act as a CryoStat system, preserving their body to be dumped right away into a tank.

We already have what, a +4 bonus to our Rare Chemical based tech? I think we'd be better off using the extra buildings on top of the refinery for something else.

My Goldeneyes are also easily scaleable with any future version of the CryoStat, and because they are an end unto themselves, an updated tank dedicated to producing them may actually be cheaper, as it could skip all but minimal life support during the procedure.

Mostly, though, I was trying to find a way to kick off a supersoldier project with a revision, because we are sorely lacking Ore and Oil, and could use some designs to fix that.

Anyways here the design we would want to import, low cost air-superiority fighter that we will reverse in to a multi-role aerial fighter.
