Name: Hammerstone
Wtf is this Hammerstone I speak of? A coastal town in south Norland. Mostly made up of Dwarves and Humans.
Background: A bunch of Dwarves fleeing from evil known as the Ironbeard clan happened to be in the same place as a bunch of Human ships. Now there's a semi-independant harbour town there, used as a stop off point for adventurers and such going to far off places. The Ironbeard Clan is technically a seperate part of the town, and is treated as such, as only Litast has rulership over them, but they must obey the local laws set by Sacath. However, it is technically independant from the Empire, and any other governing body, which has made it a haven for smugglers and outlaws.
Individuals:
Litast Ironbeard, the current Thane of the Ironbeard clan.
Magistrate Sacath, The current ruler of the town.
Ettad, Barkeep and owner of the Falcon's landing tavern, the main pub in town. He is also a Dwarf.
Rory Nightingale, wealthy merchant who lives there now.

Yes that seems fine. Post an action and I will edit it in.

Goltor
A majority of the brood is dying in the egg, and over half of the survivors are malformed or underdeveloped, resulting in their deaths... Animals are getting less prevalent, and an injured human warrior has stumbled into your nest. The scholar who taught you magic, a dragon and an unconscious woman have also set up camp on the outskirts of the city.

Ka'uratazun
You find a perch from which to survey the direction you wish to investigate, and it quickly becomes apparent that the precious metals and gems you detected are stored in the cities you can see dotting the lands. They seem to be some kind of feline people who have collected a large amount of wealth.

Lakami
What you believe is a leader of these people meets you, with guards around them to protect them. They are canid in appearance, having wolf-like ears, fangs and tail, although the honour guard makes a few quiet 'fox' comments due to their lack of familiarity with other canines. Your ambassador goes forward to speak, bearing the spell weaved by your mages to allow mutual understanding between you.

Your envoy leaves the ship with a small guard and accompanying mages to make contact, and after some very frightened reactions from the common people, are met by guards. They are blocking your passage with weapons at the ready.

The scrying occurs again, but more focused this time, revealing a nation of felid people with many tails and much material wealth. They seem to be suffering issues regarding the same magical blight that afflicted the Lakami and Acid-Maw before the wards were placed, although much worse. To their east are some bird-creature-things, who are much less civilized, but seem unaffected by the blight themselves, although their food is not.

Qassatoughua
You go to break the enchantments of the nearby ships, but realise that they have sailed away from you and are now moored at that island. Something else must be blocking you, since you doubt it's those ships, although it might be the spell you're copying from them.

Ertane
A man who looks like an Iomeeran scholar arrives, and rushes to the leaders, demanding an audience, claiming that it is of utmost importance to the people of Ertane. He is bleeding slowly from a hole in his left shoulder, it looks like it was done by a massive claw.

The snake people have formed a small armed group and are going through the city. The people ran in terror, to which they pursued, until the guards confronted them. They are now in a face-off, and neither side is making any significant moves...

Meanwhile a messenger from the Nekohlin arrives, asking for assistance with a crisis regarding a blight and miscarriage rate increase identical to yours, although yours seem even worse than theirs. Your farms have almost entirely stopped producing, and less than one in twenty births are viable.

The Messenger
You attempt to divine the purpose of the items and scry around, but it is blocked out as something of extreme magical power is nearby, and is drowning out the more sensitive detection magics.

Nekohlin
Your messengers go out to deliver their messages, and your mages come to you, saying that the scrying spell they detected happened again, but significantly more focused this time, on you and the Yinglet. Whoever scryed you definitely knows where you are, and have far more magical power than the Nekohlin. The messengers to the Yinglet and Ijzervolk return quickly, saying that they delivered their messages, and the Ijzervolk and Yinglet are both sending people.
Slightly later the messenger to Ertane arrives, also having delivered his letter, but the messenger to Iomeer never returns.

The 'Dead Zones' prove to be a failure before they begin, as removing magic from an area is impossible due to the nature of magic, as you weave the fabric of reality to create it. Your mages would have to create holes in reality to do so. However, attempting to prevent the weaving of reality in an area or beyond a point is possible, but is apparently well beyond your current abilities.

The encouraging of smallscale hydroponic farms and the expansion of the insect farm, give predictable, although thankfully positive results. More food is now available, but the Hydroponics farms are getting less effective constantly, although the northern cities report more successes in this regard than the southern ones. Fortunately, insects have a tendency to eat refuse, as do the Yinglet, so the failures aren't complete wastes.
The forest seems heavy with magic of a very different kind to that outside it; it seems more alive than anything you have seen in a rather long time. Life seems to be thriving here compared to everywhere else.
The Fire Dragon informs you that he is looking for an ancient Earth Dragon named Ka'uratazun who has recently awoken. Apparently, she had an encounter with some Yinglet, you should probably start there.

The Scholar appears at the gate, claiming that he has news that is extremely important. He is bleeding slowly from a hole in his left shoulder, it looks like it was done by a massive claw.

Llychlyn
The programme you start to protect the game Fanw has supplied you with is very successful, and seems to please her too, since more game arrives to join the herds, but the issues still continue...

The weapons of Hetar are completed almost before you ask, with the workers making several spears and axes, as well as a short blade, with a large chopping blade. You go to meet them, and the apparent leader slithers forth. Their upper body is similar to the 'humans' your people sometimes see, although covered in very thin scales, and with pointy ears more similar to yours.

Kai
...

Lizzy Kyro
Standing, you realize you are not on the wall anymore. You nearly fall when you stand, but the scholar and the Dragon- Flame- catch you. You seem much further north from the wall than you were when you were awake.  The Scholar is bleeding slowly from a hole in his left shoulder, it looks like it was done by a massive claw.

Hammerstone
The recent individuals visiting the tavern have been refugees, but the occasional adventurer arrives- Today is one such day, as a man who looks of Iomeeran descent arrives. He looks like a powerful warrior and seems to be looking for someone. The shopkeeps at the market ask the Magistrate to investigate the recent issues regarding crop failure and miscarriages. Apparently, the Nekohlin, your most active trading partner are looking for a solution to the same issue. The docks are still bustling with traders and refugee ships, although that ship coming from the south looks like it's filled with injured soldiers.

The people of Hammerstone wake up to a new day, with the belltower tolling over the few rooftops. Ettad opens the Tavern to adventurers and sailors alike, while the Magistrate has a stroll through the market square, which bustles with life. The Magistrate heads to the docks to discuss trade deals, and verious people try to attrect adventurers to the town.

Eheubryd was glad that the protection of game was working quite well, along with the weapons being made quick and efficiently. However, there was still matters to attend to for Llychlyn to survive the pestilence that befell upon the lands. Naturally, at this point, much effort would be put into better forms of farming, as to help counteract the effects of the plague effecting the lands and food. Population numbers rising slowly or remaining stagnant was fine, it was sad what would happen to the many would be parents, but it is better that everyone may survive so that once this passes things can go back to the ways things where before the blight. Many of the best in the work of agriculture would be set on finding out the most hardy plants and the best way to help their survival in these trying times so that despite what consumed the lands, people may live and stay strong.

Along with this, alternate forms of gathering food would be attempted. While not exactly skilled in the art of the water, some would be set on building sturdy boats that could hunt the waters for another source of food, fish. It was still meat and possibly less effected then the lands, and as such it was deemed a another solution to the issue of food. Of course, being ill versed in hunting the creatures of the sea and water meant that ways to do such a thing would need to be made along the boats and ships made for such an endeavor, but it was the best and probably most important time to learn how to do such a thing. Hopefully Fanw would bless their efforts like she had done recently.

Still, the most important thing was to come, understanding and communicating with the foreigners. Eheubryd, upon meeting them officially, would look confused, she heard of what they looked like, and she certainly would apologize for the delay in being able to have an audience with them, at least once she knew how to communicate with them, not knowing the spell that was put in place by the people skilled in the less mundane whom where part the ambassador's group. "Where to start..." She would mutter before looking at one of the unarmed servants in the room. She planned on telling them to gather a few things so she could learn their words for multiple things, and they could learn the words she used for the same things.

The ambassador approaches the individual who seems in charge, stopping at a speaking distance without being close enough to cause offense, presenting his hands with his palms open to show his lack of armament. He bowed respectfully and began.
"Hello, I am Wītega, ambassador of queen Rǣdend of the Lakami. I bear a warm welcome, invitation to an alliance, and instructions to assist in any issues you may be facing to show our good will. However, even if you do not wish to ally, we would like to remain your peaceful neighbours."
He awaits your response in silence.

Elsewhere, the Lakami in the ocean city will remain in this standoff, and will not instigate any violence.
An envoy will be sent to the more civilized of these two nations via magic if possible. If not then a fast ship will be sent instead.

The Lakami mages who are spare will be divided between two projects- A school for magecraft in the capital, and attempts to slow down the advance of this evil darkness and to lessen it's widespread effects.

Eheubryd was quite surprised when she heard the ambassador speak. She thought she would have to go through a long and tedious possess to learn their language but that clearly wasn't the case seeing how she could understand every word they said, as if they where speaking with one of their subjects rather then a foreign diplomat. Although she would quickly try to fix her composure, it would take someone who was blind or not paying any attention whatsoever to not recognize her slight shock. "I am Eheubryd, Queen of Llychlyn and of the children of Fanw." She would say before gesturing for the diplomat to rise. "I am glad to hear you come with peaceful intentions and hope you find yourself comfortable during your time here. I would like to know more about your people however, and am sure that you wish to know about mine. Still, there is much to discuss, and if you would like any food or drink do feel free to ask, it would be unbecoming of a ruler to mistreat ones guests after all."

He rises, looking relieved at what is obviously a warmer welcome than expected.
"You are too kind, your Majesty. And it is indeed reasonable to desire to know more about potential allies. Us Lakami are one of two peoples in the desert to the north, the others being the Acid-Maw who we are also allied with. I cannot say we have no ulterior motives for this alliance, as that would be a lie. Our mages have discovered a great evil across the sea, which is spreading and sickening the world. We do not know if you have felt it's effects, but both the Acid-Maw and my people have."
He pauses to breath and make sure you are following what he is saying.
"It makes it difficult for life to propagate, creating issues with crops, animals, water and even increasing the likelihood of tragedies such as miscarriages. After much efforts from both the Acid-Maw and the Lakami separately, primarily due to a lack of mutual trust, we were forced to work together, and made magical barriers against the effects."
Once again he stops to catch his breath, and to compose his next spiel
"However, the darkness that is spreading is far more powerful than we believe we can defeat alone. We have been looking near and far for allies to help us stand against this enemy, as we do not believe that anything can defeat this evil on it's own. This is why we have come to you. I wish that I did not have to burden you with our concerns, but not doing so would be negligent, since it effects us both."
He looks somewhat sheepish after he stops, and shivers in the wind.
"I must offer apologies, I came here to offer an alliance, not to burden you with a problem such as this."

More and more spears and harpoons begin to join the thicket as the militia rush to find arms in the face of this new threat. The fact that a potentially hostile force hadn’t been met at the docks is already unsettling, and they are escorted back to the shore at sword’s point.

Meanwhile, some of the more reckless citizens are considering things to do in face of the food shortages. Some of the older and more embittered sailors are considering raiding Iomeer, despite the prompting from others that the sickness won’t be better any closer whilst those of the young and foolish consider attempting to find and eat whatever new monsters swim forth along the blight.
The success of both parties will inform the decision of the collective, whilst their failure would serve to strengthen the leadership, so they are allowed to set forth.

The scholar is also given whatever marginal treatment is available and questioned.

Meanwhile the merchant fleet attempts vainly to make ready to leave, however those merchants still supping on the milk of another civilisation are becoming entrenched and difficult. Buying and selling whatever food isn’t freehold becomes a new enterprise for the more ruthless merchants taking advantage of the shortage.

Eheubryd was intrigued with what the diplomat had said, from the sounds of it the blight upon the lands of Llychlyn was not just limited to its borders, but instead seemed to be something slowly spreading across the world. Needless to say this had worrying applications, although she also was curios as to what these mages he spoke of where, perhaps a kind of shaman or some other kind of authority over spirits, she would have to ask about them. "I can understand why you would wish to have allies in such a situation, I will not deny that my lands have been suffering from the affliction you speak of and claim effects your own, however I hope you have met with similar or greater success in attempting to overcome it as my people have. Also, you need not apologize for informing me of such things, I am a queen after all and it is my duty to carry any and all burdens in order protect my people." She says before pausing, gathering her thoughts for what she would say next.

"I would of course be willing to fight along side your kind and I'm sure my people would too, as fighting and destroying the source of this corruption upon the lands is a goal that all whom have their people's best interest at heart will have. Regardless, I do have to ask what it is these mages as you call them are. I presume someone who deals with spirits, but assumption is not a reliable source of information. I also have to ask what weapons your people mainly use in battle, so we may better coordinate our forces when we march out. My own mostly use the bow, although that's not to say some take up the axe or spear, especially those whom have never been given the blessing of being trained in the use of them."

The Lakami in the Island city will close ranks and present shields but not spears, and will hold their ground.

Ambassador Wītega smiles grimly. Two of the Lakami in the back will magically send a message to the queen saying that the first diplomatic meeting was a roaring success.
"A mage is an individual who weaves the threads of reality. I know the Acid-Maw call their mages 'Shamans' but we found we needed a distinction due to the high level of power and training that separates their Shamans and our old Druids from the Mages. From what I've heard the queen is starting a royal magic school."
"In regards to the blocking of the blight, we are more than capable of helping, thankfully. I am unsure as to how many mages are free right now , but we have two mages present, so we can begin almost immediately. It might take a long while, so we'd need to prioritize areas, unless we get more mages."
"As to the weapons we tend to use, us Lakami tend to use polearms such as spears and glaives, as well as swords and bows. Once the magic school is running we could easily enchant a vast quantity of weapons."
"Currently we are producing a rather sizable navy and army to cross the sea. Our main concern currently is making contact with some people who live across the sea."
