QS-BGS-01 'Huginn'
Named after Odin's raven of Thought, the Huginn Ballistics Guidance System is a powerful neural-network-aided computing system, distributed in spare spaces across an Odin warship to minimize impact on space and cost. It operates a much-improved radar system that will ideally be capable of detecting and tracking hostiles at Long range. The computer calculates warship trajectories for the crew and aims the weapons, requiring crew members only to push the "Fire" button and watch for red lights and/or blinking red status messages. The computer, however, has a neural network module, and thus improves its performance over time. The more times it fires and observes the results, the better it gets at predicting the enemy, and the better it becomes at placing shots through critical locations or weak points in the armor of previously-fought enemy warships. The best part is, since its purpose is so specific (Guiding and firing weapon systems) it can be relatively small, ideally with minimal impact on costs and space constraints within the Odin-class vessels. The system is intended to be a refit module, capable of being added to already-constructed Odin-class warships relatively quickly.

Man, this could've been so cool if we hadn't spent so much time also working on the radar. There is rampant speculation as to the heights we could've pushed Huginn to with just a little more time.
Oh well. Musn't grumble.
The Huggable Huginn System is yet another fine example of superior Quillian engineering. We've pushed our radar systems to the max- the Odin will now feature several antenna breaking up its beautiful simplicity, in order to extend our detection range out past medium range, albeit barely. The data from the upgraded radar is fed into a surprisingly simple computer system, that processes it and displays the results in an easily understandable manner. The crew need but point and click on a target, and Huginn will automatically calculate trajectories, consider possible evasive manoeuvres on the enemy's part, and fire all available weapons in the most efficient manner possible.
The neural network aspect was an added hurdle, but promises increased accuracy over time as the system grows smarter. We've run it through some virtual battles, in which it performed admirably, but nothing beats real-world experience.

The Huginn system adds nothing to the cost of a ship, since it requires only a relatively simple computer system. We can refit both the Odin and the Loki to include Huginn, although the benefits are lesser on the Loki, since it is not equipped with radar.



It is now the Revision Phase of SY101.

Revision: QS-BGS2-01 'Muninn'

Our computational engineers stumbled upon something strange and wondrous. A potential advancement deep in the code of our Huginn system. Isolated programs exhibited unusual learning patters and behaviors that expanded far beyond our theoretical models. The excited scientists brought this to the attention of our war engineers, but the merciless bureaucrats damned them to slave away on the basic system with radar advancements. Yet, our people had seen it. They know its there, deep in the Huginn system. They can find it again. This revision is the go-ahead for understanding and implementing the Muninn subsystem within the Huginn operating system.

QS-MPP-01 'Broddr's Forge'
The latest development of our fusion plants comes from a general tweaking of power and improvements to containment systems, to allow us to reach ignition and multiply our power outputs in all reactors we have. If necessary, extra work is invested in the ground-side reactors, to enable them to provide at least one extra SPP.

We need stuff to use GPP on before we get more SPP for more transportation to transport stuff for GPP

QS-LAPC-01 'Reindeer'
Reindeer is based on one of civilian off-road cars (TC1). It is powered by an efficient electric engine and comes with a diesel generator that can work on any burning liquid and can be supplied with oxygen using a special hose. It is armored with an advanced and expensive layer of shock and heat resistant reflective ceramics. It has a remote controlled Hayk turret on the roof, a targeting computer and many sensors to gather data and detect enemy. Engineers are instructed to ignore possible high cost and focus on the efficiency of the vehicle that will serve both as a light APC and as a reconnaissance vehicle


It is a simple way to provide infantry with some mobility. It gives useful experience in ceramic armor. I don't mind if it will cost a ton because we are swimming in GPP and don't have that much space transports.

Also, is there anyone feeling creative for propaganda?

We won't be able to deploy a vehicle this turn anyway, save it for next turns design to do it properly instead of using this revision as a stop-gap, especially since either way won't have an impact on when we can actually deploy them!..

Why can't we deploy it? Also, designs are plain more valuable for other stuff like tanks, airforce, new spaceships, new fields of technology....

Because it takes two turns to get our transports back to Quillus and then out into the field again, Strongpoint.

Didn't you read my plan? It makes mention of all of these things, and why getting the SPP now makes more sense.

We have no transports at Quillus, and not enough SPP to outright build another transport.
Transports can't move, pick up, and move in the same turn. Pick up, move, drop off is allowed though.
As such, we won't be able to deploy any new things.
And yes, I was going to suggest a tank or full-sized APC/IFV for the Vehicle.

It appears that maybe we need better logistics, however our ships are straight up superior to theirs at the moment so giving another turn to upgrade everything we will keep our space advantage.

We should try to break their lines up and grab more territory, maybe using an Odin with some fighters to delay them from expanding?

If we really want to go for economics and ensure at least one SSP and go for something that focuses on it. I don't want to roll badly on reactor upgrade...

QS-RTS-01 Dove(C)
Dove(C) is a civilian variant of Dove shuttle created to assist in shipbuilding both by delivering materials and participating in construction. It lost its armor and weapon. Its Appolo engine is optimized for more power and it got several auxiliary old fashioned rocket engines for short  power boosts. It can launch from a planet carrying far greater load than any other shuttle capable to bring heavy ship parts or shipments of raw materials. It is equipped with several manipulators that allow it to participate in maintenance, repair, or construction of starships.

The dwarf who forged Mjölnir, the hammer of Thor, among other artefacts (such as the live golden boar Gullinbursti), on a bet with Loki, and then performed possibly the greatest feat in Norse mythology by sewing Loki's mouth shut. Basically, the best smith in the nine worlds. It seems like a good name for something that forges tiny stars, yes?
