Update made to the Huginn system: Now it makes it clear that it's a "standard" fire-control computer system, with enhanced sensor array compared to the base Odin, aided by a neural-network module which will track the human side of thing, even if that human happens to be a dried-up carcass that's almost as salty as an Egyptian pharaoh.
EDIT: New proposal, because you can never have enough advanced computational *things*.
QS-SCS-01 'Muninn'
Named after Odin's raven of Memory, the Muninn is a powerful Ship Computer System, distributed in spare spaces across an Odin warship to minimize impact on space and cost. It operates a much-improved radar system that will ideally be capable of detecting and tracking hostiles at Long range. It then projects the hostiles, friendlies, projectiles, and assorted space debris into a basic hologram "tank" on the bridge, allowing for much better command decisions than possible with 2-dimensional views. The computer calculates warship trajectories for the crew and aims the weapons, requiring crew members only to push the "Fire" button and watch for red lights and/or blinking red status messages. As it is dispersed throughout the ship, the system will track damage to itself, reporting it to the hologram image on the bridge. The system is intended to be a refit module, capable of being added to already-constructed Odin-class warships relatively quickly.
Anything else it should do? Anyone think this is better than a simple firing computer? Basic holograms are pretty simple for us, according to NUKE, seeing as how we can use them in civilian applications for our propaganda.
