The free ship seems to be back.

edit: and out again. Plus, ringworlds and the like are back to very costly, which is probably where they should be.

sorry for that uploaded the new icons with some old code. i noticed too but was out of home.

sory to say that, but fleet management is just awful.
its often impossible to use up all my production. right now, im trying to build 2 cruisers 4 corvets 4 frigates. i do have the production to do so, but it is impossible to do so. whenever i put enough priority to corvets to have 4, it reduces my cruisers to 1. in fact, as soon as i try to alocate any of my remaining 35 productoin, it reduces my cruisers to 1.
what makes it worse is, that i have to leave the ship management screen and enter the colony screen to see my free production.

it's all the rounding and consequent leftovers... I'll have to rework the whole ux for that :/

I tried to play chess but two of my opponents were playing competitive checkers as a third person walked in with Game of Thrones in hand confused cause they thought this was the book club.

am working on it but I'll resume normal work tomorrow, don't know when I'll manage to fix the graphic

also, i think enemy ship levels scale to much. its prohibitive expensive to level anything larger then cruiser for the player, right now at stage 85 i outnumber the enemy at least 3-1 according to the power scale, yet i get utterly whiped out. i think either tune down enemy scaling, or make reduce player ship leveling to more reasonable costs.

I agree once a ship is unlocked raising its level should be easier. I've changed the research curve, tell me if it's too much

I also added proper colony rebellion (you'll fight part of your own ships according on the number of unstable colonies) and ship preview for the enemies.

I also reduced laser spawning, it's uglier because they get into a weird rhythm but for now that will solve lot of performance issues while I tackle the problem at the root

Just about every time I see the name of this thread, I initially misread the thing as "Incestellar". Whoever did that was a cruel, cruel person.

Also I'm not sure if this was reported already, but the interface bugs out on me. After a few battles the battle view was offset down and frozen in the initial ship layout, regardless of the battle progress. Reloading the page and restarting the browser didn't help. I'm on Firefox, not sure if it's the latest version tho.

It's not a major issue but I'd like to see some pewpews from time to time :(

for sciene i wanted to see what happend if i fought with 700 fighters, but i had to abbort the experiment. a single fighter build increased the memory load of my browser by ~15 mb. (during build the memory usage rose by about 20mb/s, without building anything it rose by about 0-5mb/s when doing nothing at that point)

I completely overestimated browser maturity for canvas games :/

try using this link : http://increstellar.com/?webgl   should use webgl instead of direct canvas draw, it might help

so i reached andromeda the first time. i then reset galaxy to apply artefacts, assuming i would stay on adromeda.
but, instead it took me back to milky way.
suggestion: once reached a new galax, start in that galaxy when resetting the galaxy.

It seems that if you research ships up really high the numbers wrap around and they become useless.

I researched corvette up to 80 with level 3 on the offense artifact upgrades. At level 79, they were very strong. At level 80, they do nothing - can't even kill fighters.

In other news, huge fleets of highly upgraded corvettes is pretty effective. Just nothing but corvettes, 45 of em, was able to beat the level 87 ships to advance to 88.

-edit- Actually I'm not sure what's going on. Fighting in a raid, the ships work fine. But expand and exterminate both actually heal the enemy instead of kill.
