Lapis nods, before scampering ahead out of the door. They aren't waiting for you to follow, it seems, but expecting you to head out.
When the group gets outside, an odd sight greets them.
The Zoanthrope is here, indeed; a large goat-like creature, a similar shell of the weird polymer-like material comprising its body, glowing red eyes beneath metallic drill-like horns and its flanks and back protected by a red, metallic carapace akin to a lobster's body. Its limbs are odd; where its front legs should be, long, lanky arms are present, claw-like fingers glistening in the dying sunlight, and its hind legs resembling a frog's, harsh red lights throbbing where its thighs are, sculpted with massive muscles for jumping. It is glaring at the group, possibly with sentient hatred, possibly with sheer bestial hatred.
It's also floating in the air in a translucent pink sphere, trying to break out by kicking the sphere, its kicks as fast as bullets.
The
girl responsible for trapping it is standing on the other side of the sidewalk, her arms extended outwards, a faint pink glow over her hands. She is in what appears to be an intricate, long dress, made of jet-black silk and glittering silver trim with an opal set in the middle of her chest. A silver tiara with a similar opal sits atop her blue hair. She smiles at the group briefly, her eyes still focusing on the beast.
"Um, if you guys are just here to watch, I might need you to get out the way. This might get a little messy."Spica, these are the magic users I sensed earlier. They are here to help. The girl's eyes light up, as she, presumably the Spica Lapis is referring to, gazes over the party for a moment.
"Okay. If you are here to help, then I'm going to need you all to hit this thing as hard as possible as soon as I drop this barrier, alright? As soon as I drop this, this Zoanthrope will hit the ground. You can't let it get its bearings. Just hit it as hard as you possibly can, on my count of three."
