You mean a one-two-three punch, since we've also go semi-automatic rifles to go along with it. They're gonna learn that our infantry utterly outclasses them in short order. Combine that with the armoured car (Which we should fix the stability issues on ASAP) and they're gonna be running quite readily for the hills.

As for the swamps, the Vera is gonna help massively by allowing accurate and fast fire to cover anyone using the cheops. A definite combo there.

I think we should maximize the close combat advantages we have, and since they lack any effective infantry AT, the armored car still works quite well in the ruins.

Here's something fun for a future design, if we want to absolutely dominate the skies for a while and get something a bit alternative, and which wouldn't immediately be outclassed by aircraft...

Aseskara-Class Aeroredoubt AD0X ssh.I (Aerial Fortress - First Shushunefu)

Following the success of the Toth, and the obvious advantage of having invulnerable machines of war soaring the skies, the Seskara truly represents a revolutionary vessel. It's role is as of yet unseen in the world. Meant to fly high above enemy defenses, carrying a potent armament and defended by a metal underside, while moving fast, powered by several internal combustion engines, the Aseskara represents the first of it's kind - the Aeroredoubt - dominating the skies as armored ships dominate the seas.

The vessel is larger than it's predecessor. It is suspended by a larger 511 ft by 44 ft 3.5" by 44 ft 3.5" (156 x 13.5 x 13.5 m) aerodynamic balloon, allowing for relatively responsive altitude control as well as redundancy in addition to it's tail, inspired by the Toth. The craft possesses a capacity of 55,135 m³ of helium, or around 9845 kilograms of it, within it's thick inflatable gas bags, of which there are eighty, each around 1.95 meters long and with a maximum capacity of around 1115 m³  for most of it's length. On the very top of the balloon sits a metal platform, with a thin bullwark to prevent crew from falling over and indented emplacements for spotters, eventual weapons, supplies and similar uses, while the underside up to half of the aeroredoubt and most of it's nose is armored by around .16" of steel plates so as to protect it from potential enemy machine gun fire, artillery or small arms. Furthermore, on the underside rest five gondolas, one main bridge-holding one, one underneath it and three side gondolas, reinforced with metal struts or bolted on in case of the main gondola, housing it's crew, armament and supplies, armored with .50" of armor. The gondolas are arranged in an Y shape around the bridge-hold, with an additional gondola underneath it. The Aseskara is propelled by 8 210 hp Mark II W1GPM-0XV8 engines divided between 4 gondolas (four on the back gondola, two on the bridge-hold, and one each on the forward gondolas) with 8 wooden propellers, giving it a total of 1680 hp and allowing it to attain speeds of around 81 mph, though a speed of around 70 mph is more reasonable given a higher altitude. The main bridge-holding gondola features a cargo bay capable of holding a total of 44,100 lb of cargo or 17,600 lb of bombs, or around 35 Mark I 500 lb Hexogen HE Bombs - giving it tremendous strategic utility on the battlefield under a proper commander.

For defensive and offensive purposes, the Aeroredoubt has 5 1.6-inch Sekhmet Revolver Cannons, with three on the bridge-holding gondola and two on the back gondola, and 12 Carrera S3M2VA machine guns, with one in each frontal side gondola, two in the back of the main gondola, six on the bow platform and two atop the vessel. This armament is meant to allow the Aeroredoubt to provide ground support should it's bomb load be exhausted, or should it's mission parameters specify so. As a further safety precaution, inflatable boats and fire extinguishers are located inside the vessel, with rolled up inflatable boats also located to the sides of an exit from a gondola, on a ridge, so as to allow the 23 crew members to quickly escape the Aseskara-Class in case of a catastrophe.

Weight's slightly under 18 tons, closer to 17.5 IIRC. Furthermore, for next turn I propose we take another look at the following, as we are hurting in the seas due to our slow speed:

Amenei-Class Nushunefu
The Amenei represents a further evolution of the Sobek class that has served the Nafuni royal navy for all these years and aims to utilize a geared steam turbine as it's powerplant - effectively going faster, being more armored and possessing a larger armament than the current Sobek. The ship is propelled with a powerful, large geared steam turbine driving two shafts, each one connected to one three-bladed and one four-bladed propeller (to the center). The four-bladed propellers provide good handling at lower speeds or rough seas, fuel economy and durability, while the three-bladed propellers provide the ship with adequate acceleration to reach speeds surpassing those of any ship at sea to date (up to an astounding 21 knots). The ship continues the trend of using an armored coal bunker and geared steam turbine compartment (both to stop shells and to be used to lock it down in case of a fire), which are protected with another two and a half inches of armor. It features a total of 8x Tauret cannons in double turrets, 4x Djer-Khenthap cannons in single mounts, and two double turrets, which are manually operated, hydraulically assisted and rest on a circular rail for traverse, on the fore and aft mounting 8" Ramses cannons, featuring all the nice aiming devices our artillery crews enjoy, as well as sixteen Sekhmet 1.6-inch Revolver Cannon mounts on the main deck, in the fore, aft, starboard and port position to help against enemy ships that get within firearm firing range, or against the older Karikhitan ships. The ship is entirely clad in steel, dispersing with the ironclad layout of the Sobek, with a 5.5" thick belt, 2" of deck armor, as well as 5" on the turret's front, sides and rear and 8" on the conning tower, while secondaries have 3" of frontal, back and side armor. All this armor renders the ship virtually impervious to enemy fire, since the Sobek could only be mission killed with enemy ships shooting at the back of it's turrets, where their armor was thinnest, at short range. All turrets share the same top armor of 2.5". Keeping with tradition, the ship's cannons can also be taken out to provide a second role - as a resource transport, in which it should be much more effective as it's larger than the Sobek measuring 504 by 72 feet. For those interested, the ship weights 9,932 tons and has a complement of 610 sailors, with a targeted traverse speed for it's turrets of between 10 and 12°/s, enabling it to aim it's guns at potential targets much quicker than what they're capable of matching.

This design also installs a similar turbine engine in the Sobek Class Nushunefu, enabling it to reach speeds of around 23 - 24 knots, and allowing it to act as a light cruiser to harass enemy forces, while still being decently armed and armored. This combination would allow both ships to outrun anything the Karikhitan navy currently houses and would thus allow our ships to much more effectively evade their torpedoes, therefore buying us an advantage at sea.

Battle Report 13, 1902
This year, through hard work, we made the Kadesh Armored Mechanical Chariot, which is exactly what it says on the tin, a armored mechanical chariot, or an armored car. Depends on who you ask. It has light armour a machine gun, and out cannon along with a decent speed. We also worked on a project known as the 1902 Infantry Weapon Overhaul, which was basically just fixing our rifle and our machine gun of their issues, which we managed to do properly.

Meanwhile, our enemy appears to have made a terrifying creation, the Yavakh Motorcycle, a fast and highly advanced motorcycle that is faster then any other motorcycle made by the world by our estimations. It includes a side car and is extremely mobile and worst of all, it seems like they are everywhere. They also worked on copying what we did a long time ago, just better, and made the Daldlakh Infantry Uniform, which makes officers extremely hard to distinguish from grunts unless you are behind them, and makes their soldiers and especially their snipers hard to distinguish from plants and the ground. It also has a fancy and sturdy helmet along with plenty of pouches for ammo.

Battle Report, Naval Combat: As it turns out, with absolutely nothing worked on that applies to the sea, by ether sides, the battle goes quite simply more or less in the exact same way it did last year. The torpedoes are still a threat and one that honestly is a painful thorn in the side of our captains, but as with last time, our guns are still better, and that keeps things as they where last year, with the Kari's having an advantage.

Battle Report, Mountains. Attackers, No one: With no more suicidal attempts by the Karikhitans to charge our position, our soldiers get some much needed time to rest, relax, and unwind. A well escorted ship was seen sailing away from the Kari side of the lines in the middle of the year, which might explain something that happened further down in the report... Regardless, the troops where happy to have some more time that doesn't revolve around fighting.

Battle Report, Villages/Hills. Attackers, Nafuna, Karikhita: The fighting here with the new weapons of war is truly brutal. Our mechanical armoured chariots are able to do quite a bit of damage to any charge by the Karikhitans with their bikes, although they tend to take out a tire or two, sometimes even taking out the spare as well before running off to a place that doesn't have a Mechanical chariot. Our new...well old but now fixed Vera rifle also is able to do well here not needing to have a bolt pulled to eject a bullet casing to fire again. Still the enemies new bikes are a pain, and their new uniforms make it harder for our soldiers to spot them and our artillery isn't as effective against them either, now that they have proper head protection. Still, our own arty ruins theirs, so it could be worse. However, something terrible happened, Neith's hunters engaged a single lone sniper, whom managed to kill a few of them and injure a few more, after that happened, this enemy of sorts has been called the Black Wadjet. Either way, the battle was very bloody and we where held back by the Karikhitans but despite this, their pushes where inefficient and we where able to keep the ground the way it was [Nafuna 0/4, Kaikhita 4/4]

Battle Report, Swamps/Savannah. Attackers, Nafuna, Karikhita: The battle in the Savannah section of this front ends up similar to the battle in the hills and villages, the major difference being the Karikhitan's now are a lot more sneaky with their uniforms. In the Savannah, they have a bit more of an edge, and things are even, however, in the swamps is where we shine, despite not having any sort of camoflage like they have, the second we spot them, they usually roll over quick enough thanks to our newly fixed guns, and this helps our ability massively. After all, while the first shot is almost always give to them, they still only have bolt action, and we can pour plenty of fire their way to deal with them the second we find out where they are coming, although this does make operations very costly. Over all, at the end of the year, though blood, sweat and tears, we managed to push into the swamp, but barely. [Nafuna 1/4, Karikhita 3/4]

Outside world and Internal affairs: Due to our industrialization and the success of the mechanical armored chariot, the need for oil has increased and so too has the efforts to gain it, as such, we have started drilling for more oil and the industry around it has expanded. In other news, Britain and Japan have signed a treaty after months of negotiating which commits each country to supporting an independent China and Korea, although it acknowledges Japan's 'special interest' in Korea. A United States court of appeals rules that Thomas Edison did not invent the movie camera. France and Russia issue a joint declaration that approves the Anglo-Japanese Alliance, but stipulates that they have the right to protect interests in China and Korea. The US President Theodore Roosevelt signs a treaty with Mexico under which both countries agree to submit a long-standing dispute over interest payments to the Court of Arbitration at The Hague. And the Boer War Ends with the Treaty of Unity signed, resulting in Britain annexing Transvaal.

I know it's posted on the same page, but I think the following would bring us a large advantage in almost every theatre while just being Hard as a design. It'd improve our engines, enabling us to get good fighters when we go in that direction, opens up a new front, gives us bombs, give us aerial TC, close air support and it's just damn cool. Other directions we can take include the Amenei (which improves both the Sobek and gives us a nice, fast armored cruiser - which would obliterate their navy), telegraph (which would effectively max out our artillery range and improve our logistics), a tank (which would be utter overkill given our domination in terms of armor and armament designed for armor, but would give us a damn good engine we can also use in a plane- though it'd be Very Hard more than likely) and an artillery tractor that can double as a troop transport, giving us battlefield mobility, mechanized corps and experience with working in other armor. If people really want, we can do the uniform revision as a design to make it easier, but I think the other options offer more for that design slot.

I'll write up some more options in the coming period.

Spoiler: Design Proposals (click to show/hide)

For our revision, we could go with Taricus' royal army uniform reform (which is what I'll be voting for, more than likely), a truck so we can use the Tos Mori we stole from the Khants, a better High Explosive shell, an assault rifle...

Very hard: 6
Aseskara-Class Aeroredoubt AD0X ssh.I:
The Aseskara class is what best can be described as the first major weapon created by our hand for the air. Armed with the ability to move at a nice 60 mph and is able to go fairly high into the air, it is able to drop a good amount of bombs on locations that need bombs dropped. It is also armed with a good amount of Carrera machine guns and Sekhmet cannons, along with an the bottom of the craft having armour. The craft has multiple gondola's for the crew and someone made a basic cargo version, and by that we mean welded the bomb bay doors together and removed the racks. It should be noted, due to the specified use of Helium the craft needed to be made a bit bigger, and also is complex due to the use of such a valuable material. Costs 5 Ore, 3 Oil, Complex- Very Expensive.

It is now the Revision Phase, the Pharaoh is Happy, as usual it seems.
