That seems a bit overpowered for a revision...weren't kinda shitty and complex scopes a design in the original arms race?

Not in the Turbados Arms Race they weren't, IIRC.

They were, but that was more due to being part of a larger design, relatively low roll for high difficult design and nobody ever going for decomplexification process. Meanwhile, this is basically dedicating entire revision to doing it right on the first go rather than "Eh, good enough".

Right, we should propably vote for battle plans.

Quote from: Battle plan
Village (3): Mandemon, Thanik, TFF
Ruins(3): Mandemon, Thanik, TFF

I am not sure we could actually break back into swamp, since they are using skirmish and ambush tactics and new rifle doesn't actually counter that.

EDIT

Nik Thanik and TFF gave me their votes on Discord

It has been noted that our revolving rifle is actually better in an ambush, so I believe we have a chance with our new rifle giving us the range advantage.

Battle Report 6, 1895
This year we gloriously made the .305 Reseph-Vizier Series 1 Service Rifle which is a bolt action rifle that utilizes a new kind of gunpowder commonly refered to as 'smokeless powder' due to the lack of smoke common in normal gunpowder shots we use to use. The rifle has a long range, longer then any of our rifles ever had and is loaded not by the mussel or by a revolver, but by a breach. Not only that, but the rifle includes a scope called the Reseph-Vizier S1SSR 8x1.26' Scope which is used by our new skirmishers who use the Reseph-Vizier. A group of such users who have proven extreme skill have been nicknamed Neith's hunters due to how still and patient they are, and they are mentioned in one of the reports below.

Our enemy meanwhile, has made what is called The SS Yalagdashgui a large (read, bigger then our ships) sea fairing vessel made of wood and iron. Powered by wind and two large paddle-wheels presumably powered by steam, the ship is quite clearly able to face punishment of our cannons, and dish it out seeing how they now have what they call the Tom-Shonkhor which is a gun that we estimate to be able to fire 20 to 25lb shots, although we are unsure of what weight exactly it can fire. It has long range, longer then ours, but is inaccurate as a drunken bowman and is quite heavy, although it appears to be made of iron.

Battle Report, Naval Combat: This year at sea is...not good. Unfortunately, we have been thoroughly kicked back to our own side of the sea as the Karikhitan's new ship is able to tear through our own with ease while we are lucky to even brake one thing on their ship. Either way, their ship is slow, and our captains quickly figured this out. So, for most of the year we where mostly undisturbed in our transports, as whenever we saw one of their ships, we just sailed away for a hour or two after they where out of sight and then went back on course. Of course, it delays some of our transportation efforts, but in the end the goods still get to their destination. Because our enemies new ships block us from their part of the sea, and because our ships are just faster, no one has an advantage at sea.

Battle Report, Ruins. Attackers, Nafuna, Karikhita: The battle here is a easy one, for us anyway. As you all know, both long and short range engagements happen here, and medium range is rare, as the ruined buildings either enclose into tight spaces, or are nothing but hills of ruble that makes a field day for long ranged troops, including ours. The battle here is easy for two reasons, our guns, and our gun attachments. Our new rifle however, really shows its worth here, with our new skirmisher squads climbing up somewhat sound buildings, laying down, and then shooting at our enemy from a far distance, before they can even see us in most cases. Usually, this results in them hunkering down, which allows our own troops to surround them. An interesting thing of note however, is our enemy's long range skirmishers who almost always get picked off by our own due to our rifle and our scope. And its something that can help us deny the enemy of their advantages, however, in one location, the situation is reversed, which has us a little worries. Despite this minor issue, as you can tell, we gain ground [Nafuna 2/4, Karikhita 2/4]

Battle Report, Villages. Attacker, Nafuna: The battle in the villages is a sightly different story, but has a similar end. With our new rifle, and our access to cannons along with the enemy's supply havoc still affecting them, we have been able to punish them. Whenever they get close, our repeating rifle kills them, when they run away, our new Reseph-Vizier kills them, when they are anywhere in sight, our cannon kills them. Of course, that isn't to say we have been flawlessly successful, their new cannon does a number on our soldiers when they get the chance to use it, but that's not so much of an issue right now as it has no where near the firepower or range to not get killed by our skirmishers to change the course of the battle. Of note, there was a single large advance by the Karikhitans with a moderately sized army that was cut down by Neith's hunters, a group of skirmishers who hid in a wheat field and where able to shoot away at the Karikhitans with impunity. Anyway, we gain ground [Nafuna 4/4, Karikhita 0/4]

Battle Report, Savannah. Attackers, Karikhita: The Savannah is a land full of tall grass and the occasional cluster of tree's, In many ways, it is like the plains, except that it has a dry and a wet season, and it provides a lot of concealment. Fighting here happens at all ranges, but short and medium range is most common. This land has been ours and has been invaded by the northern barbarians plenty of times in the past, and once again they are here. We know the lands, and how to use it to our advantage, and with our new weapons, we can be more efficient here then ever before. Turning the tactics used by the Kari's in the swamp against them allows us to strike into their forces and cause panic and confusion, from affair or up close. Either way, we are able to easily beat the horse spawn attack back to its home in the swamp. [Nafuna 4/4, Karikhita 0/4]

Outside world and Internal affairs:  Egyptomania seems to have made a resurgence in the outside world now that people actually believe we, the last remnant of old Egypt to still exist, exist. A large number of people have actually come to our lands to see our culture and try and understand how ancient Egypt society was like, along with how their daily lives where like. Of course, we have no clue what to do with these people, but we just let them stay and a few people have made buildings to house them at a price.  In other news, The Cuban war for independence begins. A Spanish cruiser, The Reina Regente, sinks in Straits of Gibraltar, over 400 die. Polar explorer Fridtjof Nansen reaches record latitude north. Russian scientist Alexander Stepanovich Popov demonstrates to the Russian Physical and Chemical Society his invention, the world's first radio receiver, in St. Petersberg. China cedes Taiwan to Japan under Treaty of Shimonoseki. German physicist Wilhelm Röntgen produces and detects electromagnetic radiation in a wavelength range today known as X-rays or Röntgen rays. And Swedish chemist Alfred Nobel's will establishes the Nobel Prize.

Djer 6’’ cannon
Djer is a new cannon for the Nafuna military. It fires what are essentially massive cartridges, upsized to be 6’’ in diameter. They have a primer and propellant in the a metal casing, with projectile at the other end. They are loaded from the breech of the gun, with firing happening by pulling a rope that releases a hammer that strikes the primer. The barrel is rifled.
The breach and the barrel rest of rail, allowing the entire assembly to move backwards when fired. There are two static tubes on top and below the barrel. One is simple tube filled with oil, while the other is a double tube, filled with oil on one end and pressurized air on the other, with a mobile seal between them. When fired, the gun moves backwards on the rail, pulling two pistons inside the sealed tubes. This causes the air to be compressed even more, as the movement of the piston causes the oil to push against the seal, moving it against the air. The gun returns to the firing position as the air seeks to uncompress, assisted by springs. This helps to counter the recoil of the gun.
This movement also reopens the breach, ejecting the spent cartridge, allowing the weapon to be rapidly reloaded.(

Because projectile weights are silly.

I'm assuming you mean the rifle, but at this point we don't really need to worry about that. What we need is a solid answer to their ironclads. IT may just be me being Cannalian, but dammit if we aren't going to rule the waves. The Cannon also moves us further along on the ground, and is closer to indirect artillery, which is very good. And what i've been wanting for a while. Also, the grenade is till not necessary, good to have true, but eclipsed by the need to kill their ironclads.

The only real use for the grenade at this point would be learning how to effectively use timed or delayed explosives, which let's be honest is really useful for artillery as well.

That said, someone said infrastructure was a good idea so.

Steam Rail Chariot

Cutting edge transportation technology imported from the outside world.  A single mechanical horse vehicle, powered by a coal fed steam boiler, pulls several linked chariots along a two steel rail track laid out in advance.  This allows much faster movement of soldiers and supplies to the fronts as well as improving industrial efficiency.  Some British tourist called it a "train" running on a "railroad" but I corrected him quickly on his incorrect terminology.
