were-beast questions
« on: October 25, 2017, 02:24:20 pm »

just three questions I had as of late

1) can less humanoid creatures be were-beasts (not human, elf, dwarf)

2) does the infection spread if there is no bite

3) the most interesting were-beast you've had

1. I'm pretty sure that animal people can be werecreatures, but anything less humanoid than that is probably completely unable to become a werecreature.

2. No.

3. I've only had one: a wereboar that decided to cause a plague that destroyed my fort before I could get the quarantine zone set up.

1) The curse requires [CAN_LEARN] in order to work. This allows/disallows a lot of megabeasts, allows animal people, and removes regular animals from the equation.

2) A bite is needed. Also of note, if they bite a limb and end up severing it with that same action, then the curse will not transmit.

3) Someone ninja'd my old STEALTH WEREMAMMOTHS incident already. Link above :3

I didn't know that megabeasts could become werecreatures. Is it possible for a megabeast's werecreature form to be weaker than their regular form?

Define weaker. I'd rather face a wereettin in ettin form than werecavy form.

The wiki says nothing about this, guess it needs to be updated or some more !!SCIENCE!! needs to be done.

Physically weaker and easier to kill in a one on one fight.
