The ork visibly perks up at the word "Paint", and shoots a greedy look towards his current companion-of-sorts.
Said look, however, is quickly re-directed at the room itself, which Bragga quickly beginns to rifle through.

Braga, #4, loots the room.

Gorrog Steelface looks around the room, then rips a likely looking bit of machinery off the wall. (loot: 3-1 loot table: 0:1&3) The machine promptly disintegrates, leaving being 3 scrap worth of miscellaneous bits.

Zragtagas (loot: 3-1 table: 0:2&2,2) pulls up an old floor panel and a few other loose bits, and adds them to his collection (gain 4 scrap).

Deffstalka (loot: 1-1 (floored at 1), table: 2) spends most of his the gloating over his good luck, before suddenly realizing Bragga is quietly looting without him. His belated efforts gain him 2 scrap worth of miscellaneous items.

Bragga on the other hand (loot: 4-1 table: 1&2:3&3,3,2) gets a good solid start, collecting some (green) paint of his own, as well as 6 scrap worth of random stuff.

While everyone else is tearing stuff up, Gorknak heads into the unknown (danger: 5) the area is deserted. (loot: 4 table: 1&2:2&4,3:1&4) Well, almost deserted. Hiding in a corner is a rather runty grot, who charges out babbling about monsters in a most ungrot-like manner as soon as he sees you. It seems he snuck off with a few other grots to scavenge. You turn out his discarded pack to find two piles of machine parts, and 4 scrap. (This grot can man a vehicle turret if you build one, otherwise his presence is fluff. Add him to your inventory as an item.)

Zragtagas, quite happy with how everything is turning out for them lately, continues east into another room for scrap and hopefully electric bits and an easy fight.

"Hmm... gots enuff, I t'ink..." Gorrog mumbled, as he sat down with his collection of scrap. He began modifying his choppa, trying to wire in some fancy looking electronics to electrify the blade on it. "If not, der's plenty more left t' loot 'ere."

Action: Upgrade choppa (Not sure how much it'll take. If I don't have enough, loot the room some more first. I want to use enough scrap to ensure at least normal quality.)

((Depends on his you want to upgrade it. If you just want to turn it into something that counts for your score, you would have to "reforge" it for 8 scrap (plus 3 more to buy a +3 modifier on the crafting roll if you want to be 100% sure of a normal or better result). However, making it into a "powered" weapon would cost the same amount, give the same score, and help you fend off future dangers. On the other hand, if you want something cheaper you could just add some spikes, or some other fluffy decoration for 4 scrap (+2 scrap for a +3 modifier), although that would give you half the score and no danger bonus.

Since you are in a level 5 room, further looting can be accomplished on a roll of 5 or less, but you get a -1 to your roll when looking it up in the loot table (since it isn't the first time looting this room). This means 33% chance of getting only one common loot item, a 50% chance of getting more (possibly much more), and a 16% of getting nothing.

So you have a choice: Loot the room again, try to upgrade with a 50% chance of a less than perfect result, or spend most of your scrap on a lesser "vanity" upgrade.

My recommendation? Loot the place a few more times, then try crafting something better. Who knows, maybe you will get lucky and surpass Funk/Gorknak :P

In related news: Game 2 will have more high level rooms, fewer low level rooms, and a better bonus for being the first to loot a room. Also, said bonus will be stronger for low level rooms, resulting in a good size shot of early game loot, tapering off into more and more danger. Also the map will be larger.))

Rather satisfied with his loot, but not quite done yet, Bragga gives the room another look-over. And since two orks already went through it once, this time, he does so with his Choppa.

Another round of looting.

Err, for some reason I though we were missing someone. Oops. Oh well, better late than never.

Deffstalka slinks off to the last unexplored room nearby (danger: 6), it seems to be (loot: 5) totally empty, at least at first glance.

Gorknak (crafting: 6+1) continues his streak of incredible luck, creating a quality (well, by ork standards anyway) suit of mega armor, (crafting: 1) although the arm shoota just doesn't work out. (-25 scrap, aka -5 scrap and all your mechanical parts and the engine, +1 suit of mega armor worth 7 points.)

Zragtagas (danger: 5) on the other hand has terrible luck, running into another genestealer, this one alert. The battle goes very poorly, and he ends up losing an arm and getting a large gash in his chest before he finally manages to crump the thing. (-6 point wound. Ouch, you were supposed to have enough scrap to have made at least midrange equipment before such wounds were even possible. It's a balance issue.) However, once the battle is over, and he has done his orky best to staunch his wounds, (loot: 5 table: 5:1&2:4&6,1,4,2) the room turns out to be a treasure trove. (You gain 6 scrap, a hunk of leather, a can of purple paint, and a set of hydraulic components.)

Gorrog Steelface (loot: 4-1, table: 1&3:2&5,2) manages to scrape up some nice stuff, namely 2 scrap, a bundle of wires, and a pile of mechanical parts.

Bragga (loot: 3 table: 2&3,3:2&4,2) also pulls in a good haul. (2 piles of mechanical parts, and 5 scrap)
