Lu decided that he would go among the Fanelians, but first he would craft for them a powerful artifact. Lu watched them from nearby, unhidden and in the open. The great owl god would sit atop trees, or hills, or even just in open areas and watch the Fanelians. He found their lives interesting and watched them with interest. From a nearby treetop he removed the spear from his side, still watching the strange little fleshlings. How odd it was to be flesh, but how normal it seemed to be to them. As time went on, he grew fond of the little beings. Their lives, their happiness, their conflicts, their games, all were fascinating and endearing to the life god. Upon seeing some depart for the horns, Lu flew forth from the mountain he was perched on to meet them at their destination. He flew over them, and arrived long before them. Taking this time, he crafted them a gift.

Name: The Fourth Horn of Efanel
Description: A powerful instrument, a (musical) horn created from the tip of one of Efanel's horns. It was warm to the touch, very hard, and had several magical effects.
Range: Regional Heroic
Powers: If a Fanelian was to blow on the horn once, it would call a spirit to offer guidance. If they blew two notes, it would summon a powerful guardian to defend them. If they blew the horn thrice, it would call out to the Herald of the End.

When the Fanelians arrive at the Horns of Efanel, he offers them this gift solemnly, so that the power of Efanel would forever be able to assist the Fanelian people.

Thank you Nefertem, your generosity is most appreciated. I will repay you once I am able, and in the method you have chosen.

And so, Shal continues onwards away from the Pillar, and once she finds where the interference of the Pillar ends, she consults the some brief moments into the future, to see if the Pillar would erase or otherwise degrade the Sacred Task appointed to any theoretical new Keepers created at that location.

If the results are promising, she declares the Quarantine Zone with a radius 10 Kilometers greater than the radius of the Pillar's Interference Zone, and the Exclusion Zone is another 10 kilometers from the border of the Quarantine. If the results are not, she tries once more 20 kilometers away from the edge at which the Interference Zone impairs her, and declares Quarantine and Exclusion Zones as per those parameters if it checks out, and repeats the process if it doesn't... Until she finds a spot where it will be safe for her Mortals...

My carelessness caused this... I am sorry you two... I will not repeat the same mistakes again...

And with that, she once again sets to work; beginning not quite with the Creation of Mortals just yet, no, her first action of preparations to salt the earth in a narrow strip, conforming to the edge of the Exclusion Zone in the area where she has decided to place this new generation of Keepers. While no mundane plant will find this strip livable without being an extremophile, it is likely inevitable that some seeds will eventually find their way over it; but that will likely take some time to happen.

But with that done, she splits the Act which Nefertem has loaned her, and with the rush of Power, she first Creates a Small Population of Keepers, in a location a fair distance away from the edge of the Exclusion Zone, say around 5 kilometers or so at the closest, and immediately after which she utilizes the final dredges of the Power, combined with a bit of effort, to create the Fossil Potato, which is a potato with a hard, but surprisingly brittle outer shell, and both it and its tubers can remain alive for an alarming amount of time even without nutrients or sunlight, through a heavy hibernative state. These potatoes spring into existence around the keepers, although none appear too closely to the Exclusion Zone, for reasons both very intentional, and the fact not even this hardy plant can survive in the ruined earth.

After finding the edge of the Pillar's Interference Zone:
Minor Act: See a very short distance into the future, and see if any theoretically created Keepers will be alright, and free from Pillary Interference.
Declare Quarantine Zone and Exclusion Zones after finding the minimal safe distance.
Minor Act: Create a narrow Salt Field, or other more fitting natural area where plants would have a near impossible task of taking root, along the inside edge of the Exclusion Zone nearest to the Keepers. Try to make it not obvious to idle mortal inspection that it's different from the rest of the Zone.
Split the Act from Nefertem into 2 Power
2 Power: Take Two, Create a Small Population of Keepers, with the updated Exclusion and Quarantine Zones, outside of the Exclusion Zone
Minor Act: Create the Fossil Potato around the Keepers, keep their creation away from the Exclusion Zone

Spoiler: Fossil Potato (click to show/hide)

Having received the Andilauss' answer that it wishes to return to its brethren, Nefertem obliges, asking it to share what it has seen with all the others and discuss with them the possibility of one day colonising the Moon.

With that done, Nefertem travels to the Parliament of Owls, as he has taken to calling the nebula born of Lu's spilled ichor, and collects some of the matter from it; burning one Act for two Power, he spends that power immediately to form that matter into a population of brilliant, blazing magical flowers, which he names stardrops and scatters across the surfaces of both the Original World (graciously avoiding the Exclusion Zone) and the Final Moon.

The stardrops possess all the colours of the cosmos, each with its own unique pattern of dots and streaks like a starry night. Though small at first, they can grow to massive proportions, and reproduce readily through both rhizomes and large fruits which share their cosmic design. The power of Life that runs through the stardrops not only makes them hearty and resilient, but also gives them the ability to draw up energy from the ground beneath them and from their surroundings, which is then concentrated in their edible fruit; eating this fruit is appealing for all creatures because of its energizing properties, but especially so for Andilauss. The stardrops concentrate the same vital force that the Andilauss themselves derive from the earth they consume, so eating the stardrop fruit grants them particularly good health and a general sense of physical and spiritual well-being. They are also, of course, indisputably beautiful, and instantly recognisable as a gift from the God of Beauty. The God of Beauty is also the God of Suffering, however, and he could not resist adding one small catch: the tough, spiky seeds dispersed throughout the stardrop's flesh (much like a watermelon's, but mean) are designed to best germinate after passing through a living creature's digestive system, but, though by no means excruciating, are certainly a bit unpleasant to pass.

Life sheet:
Species name: stardrop
Physical Description: Tiny-to-huge (like full-on Rafflesia size or bigger) ground-level flowers bearing unique patterns resembling oil-painted night sky scenes, galaxies, and nebulae. The flower rests in a rosette of leaves featuring geometric patterns. They form clonal colonies by rhizomes, but also pollinate one another by wind and insects; pollination results in the set of edible fruits sized proportionally to the flowers, with similar designs across the surface and within the flesh.
Traits:
 -hearty grower
 -rhizomatous
 -energy concentrator
 -edible fruit
-healthy and delicious, even moreso for Andilauss
-spiky seeds you'll regret a little the next day
 -divinely beautiful of course

The
ETERNAL SAGA
*trumpet chorus* ooc here

ACT 1: The Genesis of the World

---

TURN 1.6: Newcomers of the universe

Two storms of divine energy shake up the Divine Plane as two Realms are formed from nothing.
Emerging from the plane of eternal snow, Niké the Polar, Great Rulemaker rises. Its lavender flowers soothe the mind, and its strings of white dance gracefully.
Appearing in a great hall, Baal, Great Destructor rises. Its four arms radiate with might, and his golden armor shine with a divine glow.

Another smaller presence is felt amidst these two powerful beings.
Slipping in through the passage Mavnon opened, the Monster Ha-Sath invades the Mortal Plane. A shapeless blob of pink slime, it is said to be able to take the form of anything it kills.

------------

Akrathh decides to watch the events under from his Realm far in the Other Plane. He doesn't seem disturbed at all by the arrival of Mavnon.

Erin also returns from his short trip to the Divine Plane. Incarnating back into the Mortal Plane, he is back into the world.

Keepers of the Pillar (they are back)

After a careful examination of the mysterious invisible pillar, Shal managed to determine the effective range of its effects. Seeing that any "contact" with this zone would erase the Sacred Task from the Keepers, she set up a forbidden perimeter 10km greater than the pillar's "powers" range. She names it the Quarantine Zone. Then 10 more km away from the edge of the pillar influence, she creates the Exclusion Zone. Along her analysis, she creates a circle of salt at the edge of the outer Exclusion Zone.

Finally, she creates a small population of Keepers using 2 Power obtained from the Act Nefertem lent her, and a species of tuber plant called the Fossil Potato. Obviously, she first creates the plants, and spread them in an area. Then she placed the small population of Keepers.

------------

Above in the Divine Plane, Cerediron decides to act on the deteriorating state of his prisoner. Taking 3 Acts from the storage dimension, he then uses them along with his remaining Act to stabilize the state of Urgast, and to alter the Soul Bind spell a bit. Now, some of the power shall be used to heal the prisoner if its life was to be threatened.

The Fourth Horn of Efanel

Lu flew to the lands where the Ichor of the Herald spilled, and landed atop a great Pillar Tree. He removed the Ending Spear from his chest, and its wound didn't worsen a bit. From then on, he watched the Fanelians, and in time became fascinated by them.

Noticing a few tribes departing in a great pilgrimage toward the Horns of Efanel, he also set toward the Seas of Fire and Glass. There, he took a shard of a Horn. Using it as a template and 4 Power, he created a Heroic Artifact: the Fourth Horn of Efanel. Then he waited for the chosen, as they would eventually arrive.

------------

True to his word, Nefertem listened to the words of the Andilauss. This scared being wished to be returned to his people, and so it was. The ribbon god transported the Andilauss back to his home, beckoning him to tell his tale to his kin.

Finally, Nefertem travelled to the Nebula that he himself named the Parliament of Owls. Picking up some of the matter from it, using 2 Power converted from his Act, he crafted an exquisite flower that he names Stardrop. Returning on the world, he scatters many of them across it and the Final Moon.

On the way, he moved the Auðrauga in the farthest reaches of space, beyond the Parliament of Owls.

------------

The gods felt Limikarrat the Bringer of Demise returning once more to the Mortal Plane. He disappeared, heading to a location known only to his master.

Shal, Erin, Nefertem and Lu recovered 1 Power.
Akrathh recovered 1 Act.
The Soul Bind stored 1 Act.
Nefertem received 2 Acts from Auðrauga.

WORLD TURN

The Andilauss

The life of the Andilauss remains unchanging, except for one major event. The return of Edel, the Andilauss that was taken by the ribbon god. His great tale of another world more beautiful than the one they live in fascinates many. Stories are created, stories are told, and the worship for Nefertem grows even more. The Andilauss are now united once more.

Then the Stardrops are sent to them from the heavens. They immediately recognize the creation of their god, and see its beauty. As the concept of eating anything else than dirt is completely alien to them, the thought of eating a gift sent by their god never cross the Andilauss minds.

Nefertem earned 1 Act overtime from Andilauss worship

Famous Individuals:
Two very famous individuals are born in the Andilauss.
Okal, the first Great Priest, keeper of the Sign of Hope and head of the Andilauss religion.
Edel, the Returned. The Andilauss that was taken by Nefertem, and that was brought back from another world.

The Fanelians

Many unnatural events disturb the usual life of the Fanelians.

In one of the eastern regions, a tribe of Fanelians sees a change in their worshipping ways after a series of strange common dreams. They start revering their ancestors, and at the very same time period, a group of feared Varweens suddenly becomes domesticated by this tribe of Fanelians. They call themselves the Tribe of Harat.

[Small Population: Worship Ancestors]

In the southern regions, Limikarrat appear to several tribes of Fanelians. He tells them of his Master, the Supreme Being known as Akrathh. Then he teach them many things, from better hunting techniques, to new weapons, to new ways to kill, allowing them to develop themselves. These are four tribes, and they shall be known as the tribes of Limikarrat.

[Medium Population: Worship Akrathh]

The tribe that saw Lu taking out the Ending Spear from its guts comes to worship the Bird God. They see this god as a benevolent deity who watch over all from the skies, and that it will strike down the unjust with its crimson spear. The Tribe of Karos develops an honor code and justice system as a result.

[Small Population: Worship Lu]

Far from the regions thriving with life, one of the nomadic tribes finally reaches the Sea of Fire and Glass where Lu awaits. The journey was long and treacherous, and less than half of them survived. Surprisingly, they do not die despite the proximity of the sea of molten rock. The air is burning hot, but still as clean as the one from the lush jungles.

To the Tribe of Alomet, Lu bestows the Fourth Horn of Efanel. Upon coming into contact with the horn, the leader of the tribe falls to his knees and starts to weep uncontrollably. He thanks Lu for his great gift, and promise to honor and spread his name.

[Small Population: Worship Lu]
[Tribe of Alomet came in possession of The Fourth Horn of Efanel]

The other Fanelian tribes come to develop normally. A few small tribes disappear, incorporated into bigger ones. Large communities start appearing, but none stands out from the others.

Famous Individuals:
Several famous individuals are born in the Fanelians. Though they are many, here are some of them.
Sagale the Hunter, the greatest hunter of the four tribes of Limikarrat. One of the only known Fanelians able to kill a Varween with its bare hands.
Goert the Leader, the leader of the Tribe of Alomet, who holds the Fourth Horn of Efanel. Without his guidance, the tribe would never have survived the journey to the Sea of Fire and Glass.
Jete the Rider, the greatest Vorween rider of the Tribe of Harat. None is faster than him and his mount.

The Keepers of the Pillar

The Keepers of the Pillar follow the Sacred Task to the letter, having an unwavering faith in their destiny. But life is harsh in this land where only Stardrops and Fossil Potatoes grow. They are barely managing to feed everyone, and as such their population grows very slowly.

Fauna and Flora

The Stardrops start growing in various regions of the world, even some were life hasn't taken its roots yet. Despite their resilience, they have extreme difficulty growing in barren areas such as the Final Moon.

The Fossil Potatoes have difficulty growing due to the Keepers harvesting them as early as possible to sustain themselves, and tend to eat from the potatoes intended for growing.

A species of rockfish appears in the Seas of Fire and Glass.

Before anything else, I promised to give Erin Quill an act.

He has plenty of acts compared to the rest of us so I'm NOT SO SURE where he gets the BIG IDEA, but he did donate the most of anyone but me to the prison, so sure. :P

Minor Act: Scatter a bunch of simple musical instruments around the mortal tribes that they could likely develop in a few generations.

Minor Act: Scatter a bunch of coffee plants in areas where the mortal tribes congregate.

1 Change Act: Change the minds and bodies of a population of Caracavel. They are raised to sapience with the knowledge that the god Mavnon did this and they should offer thanks for it. They are given
long, tactile tentacles with tentacles on those tentacles that act as graspers and general environmental manipulators. These are located on the sides of their bodies and more are grown as the serpent increases in length. They may be flattened along the serpent's body to streamline themselves and thus increase speed.  They also use these for social reasons. The ascended Caracavel are also given a sonar organ and the ability to 'chirp', so that they speak as mortals ought.

Rename these Caracavel as 'Lung'. They are social creatures that usually travel in small pods. Every Lung is infused with the idea of being 'graceful' and 'powerful'.

Species name: Lung
Physical Description: Sea serpents of various colours, rows of tentacles that themselves have tentacles, grow on the sides of their bodies and are used as environmental manipulators and social organs.
Traits:

Minor Acts: begin creating oases throughout the world. I will bring the plants of the world to live around them; though that is not much now, these shall be the centers of life as it expands across the world.
Note: local natural landmarks

Thank you greatly, Nefertem. Once I have established a Realm, I promise that all remaining debt will be forgiven.

And thus, there was another shift. The title of Herald was already taken by Efanel's slayer, the God of Life becoming, too, the God of Destruction. Yet there was still a vacuum of Divinity. A void that needed to be filled, yet filled with something new, and vibrant. Let its name be of Cycles, then, both of Sleep and Awakeness, of Rest and Work and Winter and Summer. Thus Niké, God of Winter, was dead before it was born. And in its place, there was Niké, God of Cycles.

Within its realm, its first act was to re-order its own power. Three Acts of Torpor, another three of Growth, and a final three of Cycles.

Then, did it Incarnate, with two regular Acts.

Here I am; called out the young god to its seniors, Niké the Polar. I am one born from this universe, and I am here to uphold its laws. Please accept this gift.

A scattering of petals filled with divine energy radiated from the flowers, containing Three Power for Nefertem and Two Power for Lu.

Lu was happy he could bring joy to the small tribe of nomadic Fanelians. He knew that they would spread his name and he would come to watch over all Fanelians and bring them under his banner. This was his responsibility, and he would bear it with pride and happiness.

Lu accepted the power from Nike, god of seasons. I appreciate the gift shifting one, seasons are a noble endeavor. Like all good things, they come to an end, and a new beginning is born out of them. This is the way of the world and I commend you for your commitment to such a force. You will find yourself a friend and ally with me, despite me being a bit... territorial.

Lu used two power to create an army of lesser servants. Lu created the Kikaket, a race of life spirits that are playful and useful. They are of various sizes and are capable of changing their form however they wish, but normally take on one form that is obviously mystical. They are capable of being intangible and moving through objects. The Kikaket live in natural locations and help nature run its course. Their presence naturally stimulates plant growth, but they also listen to the forest and plant seeds and whatnot. They find the mortals interesting, and will follow them and play games with them if the mortal seems nice. Mortals which earn the trust and respect of these creatures will find that they leave little gifts, like piles of seeds or cool looking rocks, for them. All and all, they're friendly little woodland spirits who tend to plants, play games with friendly mortals, and give little gifts.

Lu sent a couple of the Kikaket off to care for the forests and reproduce, but had the majority of them travel with him. Lu had decided he would travel to all the Fanelian tribes.

First he went to the Other Tribes, for they had grown large and prosperous. Lu would watch them for a while, and then approach them. Everywhere he went, vast numbers of Kikakets followed, swirling in playful swarms of hundreds of spirits. Whenever Lu reached a new tribe, he would wait at the edge of their village holding out a gift, a little home for a spirit to reside in. If that tribe accepted Lu, he would show them how to honor the forest spirits and attract them to their village. Those who learned would find the Kikaket both fun, but also useful. Plants and harvests would fare better, and more edible plants will appear in the area as the Kikaket plant their seeds. If any tribes will not hear what Lu has to say and accept his gift, he will leave it nearby where they can see it, but not easily reach it, normally in a tree. Less Kikakets will live near these unfriendly tribes.

Lu then repeats this process for the Tribe of Karos. He would tell them that he had been impressed by them and their justice system. Lu was generally happy with this tribe and commended their honor code. Lu spoke calmly and slowly when addressing mortals, Honor... Honor is a powerful responsibility. Honor the spirits... both great and small... and they too shall honor you. Remember.... not even gods... can steal your honor... if you do not let them. Hold onto... your honor... and I shall forever watch over... and protect.... Lu makes sure they understand how to make homes for and attract the Kikaket spirits before he flies onto his next destination.

Lu then moves onto the tribes of the Harat. These mortals had come to worship their ancestors. Not having ancestors, Lu found this unusual. Lu watched them and tried to understand this strange thing. Eventually he saw that it was because their ancestors had lived long and gained wisdom, and revering wisdom was a way to discover wisdom. Lu found this wise, and chuckled at how much wisdom this tribe of mortals had discovered. He soon approached them too, swarm of swirling happy spirits in tow. He arrived and gave them the same gift, a small stone or wooden home that a Kikaket may come to live in, and if so willing, he taught them how to make more so that they may attract the helpful sprites. If anyone asks about ancestral spirits, Lu will tell them of a magical horn to the north which can summon forth the spirit of Efanel, the first father. If they seek the knowledge of their ancestors, that would be where Lu would start.

Lastly Lu flew to the final tribe, the Limikarrat tribes. He had saved these for last, for they bothered him. Limikarrat was a being of death, and these mortals were life risen from the death of another. Whether they were life or undeath, Lu knew not, only that Death held no dominion over their nation. Lu appeared to these tribes with the same gift he had given to others, the Kikaket and a lesson on how to attract the helpful spirits of good harvest and growth. For this tribe, Lu would tell these warriors of the great battle that had unfolded in the sky. How the gods had arrived, had been denied by the unsharring titans, and had gone to war. He'd tell them of their battles, and the roll that both him and Akrathh played when the fighting broke out. He would point out the Parliament of Owls to them as well as proof of how he bled during the battle for this world. If there were members of this tribe so inclined, Lu would instruct them in the bow. He would demonstrate Jakora for them on a distant mountain, showing them that the bow is truly the most powerful of weapons, if one could master not only the potential of the weapon, but of themselves.

While Lu had had an eventful time, he hadn't actually done much. Gifted a few boxes to mortals, created a race of spirits, and flew across the skies. But the majority of this time was spent talking and spending time with mortals, teaching them and spreading the goodwill the Kikaket bring.

Species name: The Kikaket
Physical Description: Small forest spirits. They are capable of shape shifting, but normally have an obviously mystical form. They often float and appear somewhat less than solid, phasing in and out of vision and having general weightlessness. They occasionally pretend to be animals, but in their spirit form, they are obviously not animals (very spirity). They are tasked with watching over the forests and the Fanelians, and often can be seen playing with them. The Kikaket like tag and hide-and-seek, among other games. The Kikaket will occasionally come to inhabit particular plants. This makes them grow large and mystical. Seeds from these plants (normally trees) grow new Kikakets.
Traits:
-Spirits
-Shapeshifting
-Playfulness
-Make plants grow
-Glowy
-Bring good fortune
-Born from plants
