Lu looks grave. Endless, what a pleasant dream. Goodwill or not, we cannot allow Discord to reign over our future. We must begin a new era of Unity, not only for ourselves, but for the beginnings of Life we will soon usher into this realm. Let us End our conflicts and extend our hands in Peace. And if they return whatever goodwill we have remaining with violence, I will personally show them that there is no greater violence in this world than that which I will visit upon them. Of this, you have my word.

It seemed a fitting title, Slayer of the End. And yes, it is certainly the case that we are more than prepared to fight if need be. Our rough beginning has given us that much. Those who would oppose us are liable to become only more fuel for our creations.

I will support any and all entrants, as long as they take an Oath. Nothing too major, things like Don't poke the Prison, Don't poke the Soul Bind on Urgast, Don't dig too deep, Do treat the Pillar and Efanel's corpse moon with the caution they deserve, and any other similar things that may have slipped my mind. Really, it boils down to not poking Titan stuff or whatever is inside the planet. We are sitting on a potential powder keg of immense proportions after all, and any applicants need to acknowledge this, and accept that treating the situation without the caution it deserves will pit all of us against them.

Support Any Potential Entrant who agrees to an Oath not to 'Poke' the Titan stuff or the planet, at least not without group approval or its been tested to be relatively safe.

The
ETERNAL SAGA
prologue is over :) ooc here

ACT 1: The Genesis of the World

---

TURN 1.5: The new Rulers of the universe

All the Divine Ones feel a disturbance in the Divine Plane of the universe. They know this feeling, they know what it forewarn. Two realms have started forming in the Divine Plane: Two Greater Ones are going to be birthed by the universe very soon. They know where these two births will take place, and they will be born in one turn.

A voice echoed from beyond the dimensions. An Other One, having been attracted to this universe, asked for entry.

------------

Erin Quill assessed his wounds, and used 4 Power to fully restore his form. Afterward, he decided to retreat to the Divine Plane.

Then Lu decided to study the Ending Spear using 1 Power. He also asked for an Act from Akrathh, who made it clear he expected twice the Acts later...

The Heartwriter

Burning 1 Act into power, Nefertem created a regional magical artifact: the Heartwriter. Intending to use it to control the worship of the Andilauss, he then placed it within their territory.

Then wanting to try a little experiment, Nefertem picked up an Andilauss, and placed it on the no longer melting "Final Moon", as he dubbed himself, even though it was technically the first moon. Apart from the mental shock of being carried through space and separated from all the Andilauss he knew, nothing seemed to happen to the traumatized Andilauss. He just started panickedly looking for his kin, and asking the god why he had separated him from everyone.

The Keepers of the Pillar

Shal picked up some heart, and sculpted two human shapes. Breathing into them life, she named the the Keepers of the Pillar, which she sent to inspect the strange invisible pillar.

Using 1 Power, she studied the many possibilities of the Future, and was horrified to realize all paths converged to the same outcome. She would smite her Keepers after realizing that entering the Pillar made them forget the Sacred Task, as if they had been purged from any divine influence.

She tearfully crushed her creations.

------------

Cerediron once his end, studied the terrible state of Urgast, his prisonner. He was close to dying, and without divine power to heal itself, his wounds only continued worsening. If it were to continue, he would die in three turns. Restoring him to full integrity would require at least 8 Acts. But he could probably stabilize him with 2 Acts in the meantime.

------------

Not enough gods ends up allowing Mavnon inside the universe. Saddened but unfettered, the Other Alterator takes advantage of the still weak dimensional barriers. Using 5 Acts, they break in the universe and comfortably install himself in the Other Plane.

Mavnon, Other One of Change and Secrecy, has entered into the Universe.

Cerediron recovered 1 Act from his realm. 1 more Act was added to the battery dimension.
Nefertem obtained 2 Acts from the Auðrauga.
Limikarrat has healed all its wounds, and has recovered enough power to return to the Mortal Plane.

WORLD TURN

The Andilauss

With the arrival of the Heartwriter, the few remaining Andilauss suddenly felt a great admiration for Nefertem their creator, and felt disgust merely thinking about the other gods and idols. Casting away all their beliefs, they started worshipping Nefertem only. Such common religion allowed the different Andilauss groups to be easily united.

Andilauss lived their lives peacefully and undisturbed. They contemplated the bare and plain world they knew, and were content in their unmoving serenity. Due to their slow reproduction, their population didn't grow very much and no real change appeared in their society.

Andilauss days consisted of speaking about Nefertem, watching the landscape in silence, and speaking about Nefertem.

The Fanelians

The Fanelians quickly rose up to the top of the food chain. Hunting the many animals the forests and plains had to offer, they thrived and their population increased steadily. Territorial conflicts between different tribes often sparked, but these were often settled quickly through force.

The Fanelians seemed very resourceful, and fashioned many tools using primitive materials. They also used the Final Moon to orient themselves, greatly helping their ability to travel. Their societies were growing steadily.

Finally a few tribes set out to a great journey across the lands, heading toward the Horns of Efanel.

Fauna and Flora

As time goes on, the life on the world becomes more diverse. Several species stand out.

The Varweens, powerful quadrupedal predators. Their speed and strength are unmatched, and they are blessed with a very strong skin.
The Boffuns, large herbivores also capable of eating wood. They travel in herd, and use their powerful horns to bash down trees or defend themselves.
The Smilirin Birds, medium birds forming gigantic community nests. They are very social animals.

The Pillar Trees, great trees capable of reaching incredible heights. Their wood is extremely sturdy, and taller trees are even stronger.
The Flowers of Resilience, blood red flowers capable of blooming nearly anywhere.

Life even appears in the seas.
The most feared predators are the Carcavel, a species of sea serpents.
A curious species appear as the Great Sunveilers. A species of octopus spreading their tentacles on the surface like a very large nenuphar, photosynthesizing while eating small organisms.
Most other species aren't so noticeable, but still important nonetheless.

The universe shifts. The Divine Plane is not a stagnant thing, not frozen, nor is it not sensitive to the influence of its inhabitants. It is a realm of Power - great Power. One of the greatest of these Powers was, of course, the End of All Things. The Titan Efanel, the manifestation of the laws of the universe itself. All things come to their end. This is what the supreme being represented.

Yet the Titan passed on, his soul shattering across the multiverse. This was the End of Efanel, but it was not an end to the concept of the End. Thus the universe required a new herald. But to create Efanel anew would be to go against the very thing it represented. Not an absolute end, then - a being of Sleep. Of Inertia. Of Torpor and Rest, and the Inevitable Winter that comes to all things, broken by Spring - Lu, the God of Life - yet still extant, a shadow that walked behind and in front of the universe.

Thus came the God of Winter. Niké the Frozen.

Shal just stood there for some time, just staring at the remains of her first Keepers, wallowing in remorse... But all things come to an end, and determined to safeguard the pillar, she decides to take an even more cautious approach, when an idea strikes her;

She brandishes her Broken Hourglass once more, but this time sand does not pour readily, rather, it is a trickle, and she probes the area inside the Pillar's area of influence with the lightest touches of altered time. While doing so, she makes a request of the others:

So, is anyone up for loaning me an Act for now? Much like Lu's and Akrathh's deal I shall offer you either 2 Acts or a Sphere Act later.

Use the absolute lightest touches of the Broken Hourglass to investigate the Pillar's effect; if it attempts to resist the Hourglass's effect, move directly away from the Pillar until it does not, and take note of the distance.

Shal, I'll loan you one of mine - but I will decide how I wish to have it repaid later.
Throw an Act Shal's way.

Presuming that the Andilauss I brought to the Moon hasn't flipped out and died somehow (probably suicide) yet, I'll say to him: Dear one, is this moon not beautiful? I have brought you here to evaluate its potential. Tell me, please, what do you think of it? Would you like me to carry you back to your home, or bring others here?

And as a Minor Act, Nefertem will perform whichever of those two actions the Andilauss prefers; in the latter case, bringing no more than two or three and continuing to keep a close eye on them.

In a low grumble from within his realm...
Typical. You capture a prisoner and he turns out to be a potential lunatic laser-murderer, and then some glory-hoarding maniac rips his head-eye off, and now I've got to clean up the mess.

Pull all three Acts from the Dimension, spend two on stabilizing my prisoner, spend two on adapting the bonds to slowly heal the prisoner, a bit more healing than dying every turn, so that any chance of his escape is quite obvious.
