What bats? Are you assuming the red eyes' race?

While I agree with this comment in principle, it is also true that, if they are not bats, I demand my money back.

Oh, and for the record, if the extra unnoticed colour is the dark shade of grey the dark animals are, I noticed that already.

They share a weak form of a hive mind and seem to be empathic towards other living beings. They believe in a deity that's said to be able to create things out of nothing and even control living beings directly. Puppies Puppies were created by the deity. They are cute and cuddly and obviously not dangerous to the Rundverstand. They can change their color. They don't seem to like books falling from the sky. Trees Trees are tall but some are short. Some have green heads, some don't. They don't move. Puppies seem to have no problems with them. Winged Monkeys They have wings. They seem to like to climb around in trees. Mouth holes They look like mouths. They open and close during the day. Most of them contain unknown amounts of water. Big hole The hole is deep. The hole is dark. Warm air is coming from the hole. Bushes They seem to grow anywhere. They carry big, dark fruits. Dark grass It seems to grow anywhere. Giant fork It vibrates constantly, making living beings around it feel good and more healthy. It sticks out of a large bee hive. It shines in a green aura. It is relaxing to look at. Large bee hive It grows around the foot of the giant fork. The bees are humming around busily. Sometimes they seem to sporadically come together. Their combined humming feels either right or wrong, like they answer a question with yes or no. The bees feed honey directly into the mouths of nearby living beings, but only if they did good. The bees radiate a sense of safety. They seem protective of Rundverstands and the giant fork. Cave The cave is quite dark. Red eyes live in the cave. Red eyes They live in the darkness. They whisper mostly nonsense. Eye stalks They grow out of mouth holes. They are shining in a green light. They look around randomly, never blinking. Turtles They have a green pattern on their backs. They are super cute. Puppies like them. They bring joy to Rundverstands hearts.

You ask the red eyes to show themselves, but they can't hear you.
You try to tell them "Lo, but there are three colors, black, white, and red.", but they don't respond.

As the three members of the Rundverstand leave the cave, they hear the red eyes whisper behind them...
"You can't see us..."
"The mouths are wet on the inside..."
"You have the power to spread the colors!"
"Neither puppies nor trees are a type of rock..."
"You will come back..."


Back on the surface, your people realize that some of the mouths grew weird eye stalks. They also seem to have created a connection to the giant fork.
Some turtles seem to have found their way out of the mouth holes, too, looking super cute and bringing joy to Rundverstands hearts.

The Rundverstands think about giving some berries to the bats, but they don't know what bats are nor where to find them.

One of the Rundverstands tries to use their telepathic abilities to connect to a tree.
It seems to work great and the tree already looks much more lively and healthy.
There are even small dots between the leaves which could grow into fruits!

The smallest one's dark dogs are startled when a flock of flutterhands flutters out of the big hole.
They seem harmless though and settle on top of the trees.

At first, nobody notices the small worms coming out of the earth, but when they begin to sing together,
everything seems to stop for a moment and listens peacefully before getting back to what they were doing.

As the Rundverstand keeps up the connection to the tree, things change around them.
The tree, the ground and everything around starts to develop color.
Apparently, the flutter hands, the note worms and the winged monkeys get drawn to the event.

Meanwhile, another Rundverstand has been gathering some of the grass growing nearby and tries to weave something out of it.
They don't exactly sure what weaving is, but they're gonna try their best.

The smallest one, still writing into the book, suddenly sees something on the horizon. They look up and realize that clouds are coming towards them. Big clouds. Blue clouds.
They are not sure what they means, but they write it down.

A rundverstand should observe the blue clouds. They should also check if any of the clouds are puppy shaped.
