Yeah I stumbled on that pretty recently too and I'd love to know more. Can it only happen in world_gen, is it some interaction that could be copied from the relevant race to the dwarf raws, is it possible to witness in adventure moder...?

It gets better if you check the legends entries for civilizations, especially what happens after wars.





Creatures are obviously modded, however you can see this with goblins in vanilla too.
Also unfortunately I don't think its possible to find the hung bodies, "gruesome sculptures" or anything else yet, its just flavour text - though I bet later you will be able to find them.

No, it is possible, they are there.

To clarify, I've never seen a gruesome structure, but have found people impaled on stakes right where Legends said they should be.

Gonna have to check the library where that gorloc's skin was stretched over then, curious now.

EDIT: I'm at the library but it doesnt look any different tbh. No skin roof or anything - used reveal to check all layers. Gonna see if the sculptures/mounds are a thing.

EDIT2: Haven't seen the sculptures or hanging body either. Maybe if I had more time to search I could find the hanging body atleast but the main parts of the site, the village itself and the mead hall, have neither in sight.

I wish it was possible to make an abuse bodies civ that got a pleasant experience from seeing impaled corpses like dwarfs get a pleasant experience from statues.

As far as I know it's only possible with goblins (in vanilla, anyway). Never seen it with humans nor does the wiki say anything about it.

Don't think so. I could check, but I've never seen humans abusing bodies in worldgen.
