Pod Living would be equal to ramping up the crampedness of the hab blocks even more. So no you can't make your own slums :P if you keep that reform as is you will create an even more cramped version of the standard hab block.

That of course ups the ante of crime, pressure and especially heat.

Sure, works for me.  I just wanted to cram as many people as possible into an area to a ridiculous amount.

And no, this is not temporary... but it is also not meant to replace habs completely, if that is okay.

The Action as it stands will come down as Overcrowded Hab-Blocks giving you 50k inhabitants per block.

That won't apply to all Hab Blocks, will it?

E: Because, just to be clear, the action is to design a new, separate building, allowing us to build both.

That is not possible at this juncture. If you want this action to stand you merely unlock the next level of hab-block cramped living.

Why is that not possible?
How in the flying fuck can we be incapable of retaining the old blueprints and using both?

By virtue of me waving my hands and saying "I can't be bothered to keep track."

Hence the suggestion not to call them Hab Blocks, to prevent confusion. Call them Pods or Dorms or whatever.

I mean, what you're suggesting is a pretty crippling thing. Obviously we don't want to force our middle-class citizens to live in overcrowded conditions. Nor do we want our central tower (which holds up the Arcology) to be a massive fire hazard. And I really don't see how a different sort of housing is that hard to keep track of. You did say we could design new building types.

Like I said before, a key game mechanic seems to be the tight coupling between the three hab types and the three classes. So no new hab types, only modifications to existing ones. And the lower class' living conditions can't be improved.

VoidSlayer, a suggestion: how about forcing the slum people closer together instead? Or the fire cladding thing, especially since I already have a plan for pop density next turn...

Already said we cant do that.

Look I totally stand by my action, even after knowing the rest, if everything crashes and burns we can maybe design the hab blocks to do something other then just hold people.  Right now it seems like the only sensible solution to hold everyone.

Apparently we can force them closer together, actually. But yeah, your action is fine, I guess. But I actually *do* have a plan for population density... in fact, I could just tell you that if you're interested in implementing it?

While I am interested, we should really get the turn rolling.  Unless there was one more block we needed to add?

Apparently we have to wait for someone to build something, still.

Voidslayer is the last active participant and the reform he is trying to establish is pointless because their already is four reforms before that one. I suggest that the last active participant performs this task, or anyone else. Really just shorten up this "dead" period as fast as possible.

I am fairly certain that that is not, in fact, true. Assuming he sticks with what he stated, and provided helmacon's research blocks are valid, he should be the last of the four reforms - which also include yours and mine.

Restoring madman's lost action. I just quoted last version of the spire, since it included madman's action in it, but it should now be legal.
