I think the idea is that we are not building the slums. The slums are basically hoover towns. The people build them themselves when we don't have anything built for them.

By that, building better slums dosent make sense, because we are not involved in building the slums. If we were, they would be hab blocks.

No this is a block we build, it costs to make it and maybe maintenance or something.  Basically not reforming the slums but building our own slums!  But nice looking, and sturdy!  Just horrible to live in.

Yes and yes, except, the last attempt to "build our own nice-looking and sturdy slums" was also illegal for the reason I am citing.

Pod Living would be equal to ramping up the crampedness of the hab blocks even more. So no you can't make your own slums :P if you keep that reform as is you will create an even more cramped version of the standard hab block.

That of course ups the ante of crime, pressure and especially heat.

We can't make self-building Slums any better, though we can force the slum-dwellers to live closer together (somehow).
I approve of a High Density Pod Block. Cram 40-50 thousand low-class people in there. A lot more space-efficient than slums, and safer (on a structural level) to boot. Well worth the cost.

That is ALMOST what I proposed, except it's not supposed to be temporary.

So, for some reason, we can't build a sort of "refugee camp"/"immigrant processing facility" capable of holding people on a cramped but temporary basis during that turn's construction cycle?

Presuming that Voidslayer sticks with the hab-block-cramping plan, and that the actions are evaluated in the order they were made and not the order of the posts, I'm pretty sure we're full, aren't we?

Yep, doing the heat thing, an industry block, Maintenance Facilities, and a Research Facility.

Oh, no, they should be in order of posts, shouldn't they? Cause that's what I've been assuming. Otherwise we're going to get screwed over---repeatedly---due to people needing that thing called *sleep*.

Oh, hey. We have a remaining build action, because Madman tried to build after doing a reform. Someone get in here and put one more Hab Block under the Arcology (ie make the latest map accurate again- currently the central tower is one shorter than depicted)

"Rational ordering" doesn't apply in this game, in case you hadn't notice.
Well, I don't mean rational in the context of making things make sense in-universe, of course. I mean rational in the sense of "things should be accepted in the order they were made like Gazhkull said", ie, editing a suggestion into your earlier post shouldn't magically make it apply before other suggestions that happened in the meantime.
