Corvald
Those corpses have pale skin, right? So... Skin a corpse and use the skin as a bandage.

Deciding that the real determinant of a good bandage is how close it is to the colour white, you disregard all the bits of cloth in sight and hunker down next to the nearer corpse, the one whose face the grey, cross-faced man turned into a pulpy mess. You look around in the vicinity for something to use to skin him and your eye lights upon a broad, handle-less blade between the two corpses. You go to pick it up and return to your original corpse, noting the hedgey man picking something shiny off the ground while you do so. You decide that the best bandage for your hand will be one you don't have to perform any sewing work on, so you aim to remove a tube of skin from a limb that you can just slip over your hand. You decide that the man's bicep will probably be your best bet.
[DEX: 2+2]
You make incisions a little awkwardly around his elbow and mid upper arm (left side), and jiggle the large blade under the skin to loosen it. The result is a rather jagged tube of flesh which you attempt to slip off the man's arm. You find you can't get it over his hand though, so you [DEX: 6+2, crit 4+2] expertly slice through the ligaments and connective tissues between the bones in his hand, allowing you to compress it and get the skin-tube off, as well as scoring the scoring the four appropriately-sized hex nuts he was wearing as protective rings. When you place the bloody "bandage" over your hand, you find that it's not really doing much due to the jagged nature of your initial incisions, so you repeat the process on his right arm, this time dealing with the hand first.
[DEX: 4+2, crit 4][DEX: 3+2]
You again expertly slice apart his hand, an impressive feat given the unwieldiness and bluntness of the blade you're using, noting its structure as you go. This time when you cut the upper arm you do it much more cleanly and manage to get a neat tube of skin off. Placing it on your hand you find it's a teensy bit too loose to be fully effective at stopping the bloodflow, but it seems to have helped. You think. It's hard to tell because it's a tube of raw skin you just cut off of a fresh corpse, so there's quite a bit of blood all round. You hope he didn't have any infectious diseases. Your hand movement is slightly impaired by the "bandage," but hey, at least it's close to bandage-coloured. The corpse is now missing a band of skin on each upper arm, and has mangled hands.

((OOC: I really hope no government agency links up "skinning cow images" and "human skin thickness" in my search history))

You hear someone down the beach yell  "Who is attacking?" just before the bedraggled man shouts ”Doesn’t matter right now, jus’ kill the spear bastards!”. Immediately followed by a pained, distorted, and unsettling scream and a separate, high-pitched, desperate string of profanities and pleas for assistance. You look up to see the small man screaming for help and still engaged with the standing spearman. Behind him, the other tribal stands up.

Eddie Bard
Cautiously approach the lights while continuing to look for useful items.

You slowly approach the lights while looking around on the ground, but you can't see anything useful in the gloom, just these strange beach flakes stretching on in all directions. As you reach the nearest of the lights, you realise it's another mushroom very similar to the one you left behind. You wait on the outskirts of its green glow, and notice that further inland, off to your left, there's a much wider, more orangey light on what passes for the horizon in this gloom. Also to your left, about 40m away you reckon, is a yellow light which seems a little inconstant, flickering slightly. You figure you're about 50m from the shore at this point. You hear a lot of shouting behind you, something to the effect of a cry for help and encouragement to kill someone.

Hank:

Follow the one who said they'll kill the mayor. Like hell they will.

You stand up and begin running after the rude gentleman who claims he'll kill the dude you want to kill. You think to yourself, as the running motion of your hands sends specks of bloody gore flying through the air before your eyes, that there really is a strange amount of people wanting to kill the mayor around here. [AGI: 1+1] You're not really gaining on him, but he suddenly slows down a bit and looks to be clutching his chest, although it's hard to see outside of the mushroom's light.

PATRICK: ((OOC: You haven't been on in almost half a month and you haven't responded to my PM, so I'm just gonna autopilot you for now))
[AGI:2]You keep running, still a little slower than you'd like, and glance over your shoulder to see the one who noticed you. Chasing you. You look a little closer.
[WIL:2-1; crit 4]
He is splattered with blood and gore, his fists literally glittering deep red, droplets sloughing off as he pumps them through the air in aid of his attempt to catch you and presumably beat you to death. And the distance is not increasing. The knot of panic in your chest begins morphing into a deep, squeezing pain that has you clutching at your chest and gasping.

DJDALA:

Rip the spear out of the mans leg and start backing towards the large group of people talking about the mayor while screaming at them for help.

[PHYS: 2+1]
You wrench at the spear as the tribal pulls his back, but you don't manage to get the angle right and merely twist it painfully in the wound. Extremely painfully it seems, as the tribal's eyes roll back and his knuckles go snow white as his fists tighten involuntarily around the shaft of his spear, all while letting loose a distorted, whistling scream. You hear someone behind you say "Who is attacking?" The tribal stands frozen in pain as you scream a desperate string of pleas and profanities over your shoulder and over his cry of pain. Out of the corner of your eye, you notice the other spearman standing back up, his long white dreadlocks half-concealing the massive purple bruise on the right side of his neck. His face appears contorted in pain with his teeth bare and clenched, but his eyes are wide open, and crinkled at the edges as if smiling wildly. To your right, a pale man with a snazzy helmet and a long staff stands in the water.

Tablerace

I need information. Stop at ankle level water, enough to hear approach.
Shout, "Who is attacking?"

You keep walking, hearing ahead of you the sound of a blade moving within meat before a strange, distorted, whistling scream, similar to the one that so crippled you earlier, but much less focused and clearly pained. You stop in the ankle depth water and shout out out "Who is attacking?", immediately answered by someone behind you and to your left shouting ”Doesn’t matter right now, jus’ kill the spear bastards!”, and then a string of profanities and desperate cries for help from directly in front of you, not more than 10m away. Over the shouting, you can just make out the sound of a person rising to their feet. To your left and behind you, you hear footsteps moving towards the scene in front of you.

Scav:

Pick up the metal item from the tribals corpse, turn around and shout at the one who asked who we were: ”Doesn’t matter right now, jus’ kill the spear bastards!”

You bend down and pick up the curious item, noting some holes and slits along its length, then hear someone say something about attacking. You turn and shout ”Doesn’t matter right now, jus’ kill the spear bastards!” at the man who initially punched you as a stream of profanities and pleas for help emanates from the same direction. Looks like that way lies more spear bastards. He begins moving towards the cries for help.

Bobross:

Look for any new threats with the intention of smashing them.

You look around. Punchy man ran off into the darkness, topiary wrench man is shouting to kill the spear bastards, a small man is screaming for help in dealing with a spear-wielding bastard, and that tall helmeted bastard from earlier is near that scene too. You see another bone-covered bastard get up behind the small man and decide that maybe the threat lies with the guys that charged out of the darkness covered in bones and wielding jagged scrap-metal weaponry. You begin moving quickly towards the small man, making it about half the distance.

Hank:

Keep following this punk. Even if he drops dead from running.

[AGI: 3+1]
You begin gaining on him rather rapidly as he stumbles about, still clutching his chest.

PATRICK:
[WILL: 4-1] [AGI: 4-1] (the -1 is for having a heart attack)
You struggle to get yourself under control, to calm your breathing, but it's just not working, the pain is getting more and more intense.

Eddie Bard
Take one of the beach flakes and taste it. Try to identify what it is. Then approach the nearest mushroom, and investigate it more closely.

You pick up one of the beach flakes. It's about the size of your outstretched hand, pretty consistently thin, and it looks yellow, meaning it's probably white, since the yellow light above you is all that illuminates the scene. It feels slightly powdery, like you could crumble it if you wanted to, but there is an element of stiffness to it underneath the exterior. It is slightly curved, and the convex side has some cracks in its exterior, parallel to the axis of bending. The edges are not particularly sharp. You nibble at the edge and immediately begin to cough and spit: some of the powderiness came off in your mouth and it tastes exactly like shit, except worse. You attempt to brush away some of the powdery exterior and see that beneath that it is a smooth, matte piece of material that bends fairly easily. A word is dredged up from your subconscious: *plas-tic?*
Just to be sure, you try another of the flakes, one that's a little thicker. Not going through the trouble of tasting the exterior this time, you simply brush it off and see that this flake is all bubbled and brown underneath, with jagged edges. It breaks fairly easily towards the edges but not so easily towards the center. It feels very hard, but very brittle: not bendable at all. With more words and concepts popping up from your subconscious, you deduce that it's an incredibly *rusted* piece of *iron* or *steel*.

You discard the flakes and continue to the nearest mushroom. You inspect it thoroughly. Its stem is just a hair taller than you are, and mottled cream-white-pale green, with a faint pale green glow. Its gills are deep brown and non-luminescent, and look to be slightly wet. It has a faintly sweet aroma, definitely emanating from the gills. The cap is similar to the stem in complexion, only much more deeply green and glowing much brighter. There is a ring of large, dead insects around the base of the stalk, and every once in a while a similarly large insect will fly into or out of the gills. The flying ones are about the length of your hand, with long abdomens and extremely large antennae. The dead ones are of many varieties. The living ones seem content to ignore you.

Steeve:

Walk in an arc while yanking on the spear in my hand trying to get the stabbed man in-between me and the man that just got up.

[PHYS: 6+1, crit 6+1]
In a single, quick motion, you wedge your left shoulder under the pain-blind man's right arm and pull hard on the spear so that you and he rotates a few paces counterclockwise, resulting in your stab victim (still screaming) being between you and the man now stumbling towards you angrily. Seeing an opportunity, you jerk your spear free while simultaneously impacting your shoulder heavily on the man's chest, sending him tumbling towards your other opponent. However, the dreadlocked man deftly dodges and snatches the spear out of the spearman's hands as he falls. A pool of blood rapidly spreads from the silent, motionless spearman's thigh and you notice a large chunk of flesh hanging off of your spear. No time to consider that though, you're being attacked!

COMBAT
[Steeve: 1+1, Tribal 1+1]
The tribal comes in slowly, dreadlocks swaying, then suddenly leaps forward and jabs with his spear at shoulder height. Steeve ducks to the side and returns a jab, but the tribal jumps backwards and avoids it.

You notice that the helmeted man has, in fact, been charging at you and the tribal this whole time. He stumbles slightly and the tribal begins to turn to face him, but too late. His staff comes down and acts as the rim of the frying pan to the raw egg that is the tribal's head. Behind the lifeless corpse dropping to the ground you see a group of people also rushing towards you: the unkempt man you bumped into earlier running next to an old man with a very messed up (and slightly disappointed-looking) face, and ahead of them, jogging up to the spot where you stand, the big scary bruiser-looking man.

Tablerace

The...sound.

Run at the scream - end it. Basically using it to hone in, go for full power strike, running start.

You charge in at a full sprint and as you are almost there the scream ends abruptly, but you hear a sudden pair of footsteps on the ground and a large crunch on the flakes. You hear two simultaneous sets of slow footsteps moving away from you, the closer set louder than the further set, followed by a sudden heavy footstep, a swishing sound and a soft grunt, a pair of less heavy but equally sudden further footsteps, another swish, and yet another heavy pair of close footsteps. Your momentum in full swing and your staff raised you decide to attack the closer figure.
[AGI: 3]
You almost lose your footing as you reach the nearer figure and you hear a couple of steps as he turns, just before your staff comes down.
[PHYS: 6 crit 6]
You hear a loud crack and feel resistance give way. You return your staff to a ready position as you hear the loud crunchy noise of a body hitting the ground. To your left a set of very heavy footsteps has almost reached you, and there are two more sets also coming towards you from the same direction, but further away.

((>_>))
Corvald
Pick up the hex nuts and help the small man by throwing them into the standing spearman's face. Aim for the eyes.

You gather up the hex nuts and run about half the distance between yourself and the fight so as to get in range. In the meantime, the small man gets one of his opponents between himself and the second, then seems to push the middle one into the other. The other, who has long dreadlocks it seems, dodges and goes to attack but doesn't do anything before the helmeted man you saw running out into the water sprints in and cracks him on the head. You feel a tinge of disappointment as none of the spearmen are standing anymore to have nuts thrown at them. Ahead of you the big man has just about reached the small man and the helmeted man, and to your left the hedgey man is about level with you as you both move towards them.

Scav:
Pocket the metal shiny and move towards where the profanities and cries for help are coming from. Mumble quietly under my breath: ”Good start to a day as any eh?

You pocket the metal thing run about half the distance between yourself and the fight before all the small man's opponents have hit the ground. While you were running, the small man got one of his opponents between himself and the second, then seemed to push the middle one into the other. The other, who has long dreadlocks it seems, dodged and went to attack but didn't manage to do anything before the helmeted man from earlier sprints in from the water's edge and cracks him on the head and he goes down. Ahead of you the big man has just about reached the small man and the helmeted man, and to your left the old man with a burnt face that you saw partially skinning one of the tribal corpses is about level with you as you both move towards them.

Bobross:

Charge at the boney person, steamroll them.

You begin to charge at the boney person, but while you're running the small man gets one of his opponents between himself and the second, then seems to push the middle one into the other. The other, who has long dreadlocks it seems, dodges and goes to attack but doesn't do anything before the helmeted man you saw running out into the water sprints in and cracks him on the head. He crumples to the ground, meaning that there's no boneys left standing to steamroll. You've just about reached the scene of the fight now.
